  • July 21, 2017 - Dachau, bavaria, germany - (photo: Sachelle Babbar) The head of the SPD and Kanzlerkandidat (candidate for the Chancellorship of Germany) visited the Dachau concentration camp grounds in order to pay respects on behalf of his SPD party to the victims of National Sozialism. Schulz then presented a memorial plaque (followed by a moment of silence) with inscriptions honoring the victims and those who defend democracy. At the end of the tour, a wreath was laid down at the International Memorial by Schulz, Markus Rinderspacher, Uli Grötsch, and Michael Schrodi. Other speakers included Dr. Gabrielle Hammermann of the Dachau Memorial..The Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Grounds lie approximately 20km north of Munich. The camp eventually came a “model”, which other camps were designed after. It was in operation from March 1933- April 1945 and 31,951 were reported as killed there. Dachau recently received international attention when the iconic “Arbeit macht Frei” gate was stolen in 2014, then recovered in Norway in 2016, and returned to the grounds in Feb. 2017. • August 19, 2017 - New York City, New York, United States of America - In response to the nationwide “March on Google” organized by controversial alt-rightist Jack Posobiec, dozens of counter-demonstrators assembled against the encroachment of the far- and radical-right on NYC. Posobiec has said ''Google is an anti-free speech monopoly'' after Google engineer James Demore was fired for posting a 10-page anti-diversity memo. Ultimately, the event was cancelled citing “threats from alt-left terrorists”. Such threats have not been independently confirmed. Despite the cancellation, protestors continued on, with a slightly altered plan in response to the NYPD’s wishes in the wake of the Barcelona terror attack..A US Navy intelligence officer, Posobiec was most noted in his role as special projects director of Citizens for Trump, as well as planting signs near anti-Trump demonstrators and creating disturbances. • May 2, 2019 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - ''Migration Kills'' under a postcard for neonazi Udo Voigt. The neonazi NPD party organized an information table in one of the most-traveled districts of Munich- the pedestrian zone in the city center where shoppers, tourists and workers cross. Behind the table was Munich city councilman Karl Richter, part of the neonazi group Buergerinitiativ Auslaender Stopp (Citizen Initiative to Stopp Foreigners) and Renate Werlberger of the NPD. Both parties are widely accepted as being one and the same and confirmed by Richter in terms of ideology and membership. The duo also displayed placards with ''Migration Kills'', deemed in the state of Saxony to be incitement. Police refused to take a report to pass to the prosecutor. The pair were later joined by Heinz Meyer of Pegida Munich, who has been under federal terrorism monitoring since 2012. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar/ZUMA Wire)

Sellner is also associated with white supremacists in the United States and Canada. Adding themselves to the “who’s who” list of of several hundred right-extremists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and other countries, Tommy Robinson, founder of the British EDL, Lutz Bachmann, grounder of Germany’s Pegida, and Martin Sellner of the Identitaere Bewegung were guests as the Compact Konferenz held in the international tourist town of Garmisch Partenkirchen in southern Bavaria. The conferences are held by Juergen Elsaesser, founder of Compact magazine, a publication designed for right-extremists, conspiracy theorists, and right-wing sovereign citizens (Reichsbuerger). The venue was the ironically-named Gasthof zum Rassen, which residents state has hosted numerous, unwanted far-right and right-extreme events in the village. The city government is furthermore relatively quiet about such events, as stated by residents “they are afraid tourists will find out”. Despite this, a spontaneous demonstration by residents took place. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar/ZUMA Wire)

  • June 1, 2017 - MüNchen, Bayern, Germany - ''No Deportations into War'' Over 750 from various political parties and organizations, including the SPD, the Green Party, Claudia Stamm's Zeit zu Handeln, Bellevue di Monaco, and the Bayerischer Fluechtlingsrat organized a demonstration at Munich's Salvatorstrasse in solidarity with the students at a Nuremburg school who were surprised by a shocking arrest of a classmate set for an immediate surprise deportation to Afghanistan. Hundreds of students then organized resistance and a blockade to try and prevent the police from taking their classmate away, which resulted in brutal violence being used against the students. The case has sparked much criticism against the police, who not only violated the safe zone of a school to make an arrest, but also has displayed the level of violence the Bavarian police use freely and without consequence. • August 7, 2017 - New York City, New York, United States of America - (photo: Sachelle Babbar) At City Hall on Monday Mayor de Blasio announced a bill to impose a tax on the wealthiest New Yorkers in order to finance the long-overdue repairs, upgrades, and general maintenance of the NYC subway system. As of late, the subway system has been plagued with delays and accidents, including a June subway derailment that injured dozens. The derailment was due to the storage of loose items by MTA personnel on the tracks. ..Currently, the revitalization plan is being held up by Governor Cuomo’s office, who must approve the tax. The temporary emergency efforts to reduce delays will cost in the hundreds of millions, while the long-term revitalization plan, according to MTA chairman Joe Lhota, will amount to approximately $8 billion. • April 4, 2017 - Bavarian parliamentarian Florian Ritter (SPD) holds a conference on the ongoing NSU terror cell process, which has cost tens of millions of Euros and appears to be making little progress towards prosecutions. Much criticism lies in the involvement of law enforcement and the Verfassungsschutz (secret monitoring service to protect the constitution) and their alleged involvement. Futhermore, the investigations appeared to have had racist motivations as families of victims were put under international suspicion for the murders of their loved ones. The family of Herring alleges that she was the victim of long-term harassment by a “homophobic” neighbor, while the police allege that she held a knife and injured at least one officer with it. Prior to the fatal incident, there was another knife incident on the premises involving Herring and a neighbor. ..Currently, police are investigating and if non-lethal methods were used before the fatal shooting. • May 19, 2017 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - Despite cancelling a registered Friday prayer session at Munich's Marienplatz, Muslims assembled and then walked to the St. Michael Church nearby for their Friday prayers. The original demonstration was cancelled due to ''security concerns'' after radical-right figures began making posts on social networking regarding a counter-action. At least three members of the III. Weg militant neo-nazi terror group, as well as Golden Dawn were in attendance, with at least two members of Pegida. The original purpose of the demonstration was organized by Massi Popal to bring light to the inner city no longer having prayer spaces for muslims. Furthermore, a reporter from Sueddeutsche Zeitung created a disturbance within the church after demanding to be allowed to photograph in the hall and being denied by the church management and the Staatsschutz (police). He was then escorted out while yelling by the Staatsschutz. Police speakers report that he threatened police with a criminal complaint, despite the fact that the Church operator asked for him to leave. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar via ZUMA Wire)

  • April 28, 2018 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - Michael Stürzenberger (Sturzenberger). Inviting Pegida founder Lutz Bachmann Pegida Dresden returned to Munich for a repeat of last month’s march through one of the most-traveled portions of the city. Last month, just a few hours after Bachmann’s appearance in Munich, he was arrested at London-Stansted airport and subsequently deported back to Germany due to attempting to make an appearance at a right-extremist event at Hyde Park. While in detention, he live-streamed videos and photos of the facility, leading to criminal charges. There were less than 100 demonstrators for Pegida and several hundred against, most notably, youths..The city of Munich has two Pegida factions: the „Munich” faction which has been called the “the weaponized arm of Pegida” due to the group allegedly trying to amass firearms through the operation of a shooting club. The group’s leader, Heinz Meyer, has been under terrorism monitoring since 2012 and has numerous neo-nazis and right-wing terrorists under its followers. “Pegida Dresden” is effectively Pegida Nuremburg, who is attempting to take the greater role in Munich. Sturzenberger is under Verfassungsschutz monitoring for islamophobia and incitement. In 2015, he was pushed out of Pegida by Meyer, after which he began working with numerous far-right groups across Germany, eventually winning Bachmann’s favor and becoming a regular speaker in the extreme-right city of Dresden. Pegida groups throughout Germany are associated with right-extremists, right-wing terrorists, and attacks on the media. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar via ZUMA Wire)

  • August 4, 2017 - New York City, New York, United States of America - A pro-Cuba group called the Venceremos Brigade organized a demonstration at JFK's Termina 4 to protest an upcoming regression in Cuba-US relatons under the Trump Administration. Despite the claims of a travel ''ban'' to Cuba, there remain more than a dozen legal ways to visit Cuba as an American, including using an officially licensed tour operator or for family travel. Activists, however, continue to use and sensationalize the word ''ban''. Furthermore, the enforcement of the travel restrictions are expected to take months to reimplement. Normalization of relations between the two countries began under the Obama Administration in 2015, which included a liberalization of travel rules for tourism from the US to Cuba. The Trump Administration has recently announced that it will enforce not only the tourism ban to Cuba, since it was never technically lifted, but also US companies will be barred from business ventures with the Cuba GAESA, which has links to much of Cuba's tourism industry. • April 27, 2017 - MüNchen, Bayern, Germany - Employees of Munich-based, multi-national industrial gas giant Linde AG (Ling De) have launched protests and marches in numerous cities throughout Germany against the planned merger between Linde AG and US competitor Praxair (PX.n). The employees and unions fear elimination of positions and reduced control over their affairs. Linde Supervisory Board Chairman Wolfgang Reitzle has been embattled for several months over the deal, which would create a $30 billion market leader and have a $1 billion synergy target, , but mounting crises also include an investigation of Reitzle by BaFin, Germany’s Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, for potential insider trading that revolved around this merger. Despite no involvement whatsoever by Trump, anti-Trump rhetoric was abound, as was anti-American rhetoric as an prominent angle of their resistance to this deal. Ironically, despite citing “America First” at one point, the rest appeared to be “Germany First” rhetoric for non-acceptance of the merger. The unions and workers alluded that if a merger is ratified, they would not be cooperative..Praxair has provided assurances to Linde regarding maintainance of jobs and corporate climate and governance after early rounds of negotiations fell through over these issues. IG Metall spokespeople have indicated that the assurances don’t resolve all the grievances. Steve Angel, Praxair CEO, released a video in January that assured his employees would be in charge. Praxair has approximately double the profitability of Linde. The video has since been filed with the US SEC. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar via ZUMA Wire)

  • May 4, 2019 - Greding, Bavaria, Germany - Die right-extremist flank of the Alternative for Germany party known as “der Fluegel” (“The Wing”) appeared in Greding, near Nuremburg in Bavaria. Appearing with the group was Bjoern Hoecke, Benjamin Nolte, Bernhard Zimniok and Christina Baum. Due to connections to the right-extremist spectrum and efforts against democracy, the Office for the Protection of the Constitution (Verfassungsschutz, Secret Service) escalated the group to preliminary monitoring ahead of possible formal monitoring. Participants, including right-radical Dubravko Mandic of the AfD in Freiburg aggressively approached and harassed journalists on the scene, with him taking the phone away of one. Later, after calls to take the cameras from journalists, two attacked a journalist. Mandic has posted about “the great exchange” referencing such theories by white supremacists who committed shootings, such as in Christ Church. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar/ZUMA Wire)

  • November 3, 2018 - Fuerstenfeldbruck, Bavaria, Germany - A migrant woman with a child walks past the sign for their housing facility in Fuerstenfeldbruck. 100 Migrants at the Fuerstenfeldbruck housing facility near Munich held a rally protesting alleging abuse by security staff and stays lasting two years or more instead of the maximum of six months. The Fuerstenfeldbruck camp has been a flash point for conflicts for several years, with the predominantly African residents being involved in numerous altercations with security and staff. Sources state that the migrants housed there have a low perspective to stay or pending deportation orders and such a situation, along with extended stays, leads to conflict. The group Refugee Struggle for Freedom recently released a partial video alleging an attack by several security workers against a resident. Upon return to the camp, an unrelated fight broke out requiring police and medical assistance. It was at this point that a member of the security team approached a member of the press and aggressively demanded an end to photographing and also attempted to confiscate the cameras and memory cards. The guard gave up the attempts when the photographer indicated that only the police can give such orders, which they did not. (Credit Image: © Sachelle Babbar/ZUMA Wire)

He further adds “we want to show that the ivory on the animal is priceless, but worthless in this form as a consumer good”. Mary Dixon of WCS says “we would like to send a message to poachers and anyone involved in the illegal ivory trade that we will no longer tolerate this”.
