  • Fancy spicing up your night? Now you can with a stay in the iconic bus from the Spice Girls movie. Host Suzanne Godley teamed up with Airbnb to create this unique and nostalgic stay in time for the Spice Girls reunion tour. The accommodation is made from the original Union Jack bus from the Spice Girls' 1997 movie Spice World, which was then converted into a luxury apartment. The Spice Bus will be situated in the heart of Wembley Park, London, where guests will be able to stay overnight from June 14. The recently renovated living area features pink Union Jack cinema chairs below a ‘Girl Power’ neon light installation and is fully stocked with vintage 90s magazines and CDs to help recreate the 90s era. With bold interiors, potted plants create a fresh homely feel downstairs while bright colourful scatter cushions surround the central seating area, providing a comfy place for guests to relax and spend time with each other. Upstairs there’s a dressing and the adjoining bedroom, which is fitted with a striking animal-print carpet, provides comfy bedding for three guests who get to call the Spice Bus home for the night. Suzanne, who is a Spice Girls superfan, said: “When my boss mentioned that he was considering buying the Spice Bus I was desperate to be a part of its renovation. We’ve worked hard over the past few months to turn the bus into a home, in keeping with its legacy, and I’m so excited to open it up to the public with the support of Airbnb. Being part of this project has been like a dream come true and I can’t wait to meet other Spice Girls fans through this experience.”. 15 May 2019 Pictured: Spice bus converted to Airbnb. The Hollywood star, 55, and his 38-year-old barrister wife are believed to want to raise their daughters in the English countryside around their magificent Grade II Listed mansion, Aberlash House, in Sonning Eye, which lies on the banks of the River Thames just two miles outside Reading. The Clooneys paid an undisclosed sum for the Grade II-listed property, which was put on the market for £7.5 million, in September 2014, a couple of weeks after their three-day wedding extravaganza in Venice. Remodelled during the Georgian era, the house, stands on a five-and-a-half acre island on one of the most idyllic stretches of the Thames, at Sonning Eye, which marks the Berkshire boundary with Oxfordshire. The pictures show the Clooneys' boathouse and local restaurants and bars, a private school, sailing club and theatre that are all within walking distance or a two minute drive from the property. For an out-of-this-world-price of $9.5 million dollars, guests of the Aurora Station will get to see up to 16 sunrises in one day and float in zero gravity while traversing the planet in Low Earth Orbit at a height of around 200 miles, making for stunning views. The space station can host six people at a time, including two crew members for a 12-day space adventure. The space hotel, which has been developed by US-based space technology start-up Orion Span, is set to welcome its first guests in 2022, with the station’s launch set for 2021. Frank Bunger, CEO and founder of Orion Span, said: “Our goal is to make space accessible to all.” The space station — which will be around the size of a private jet at 12 feet wide by 35 feet long — will have fun activities on board including growing food while in orbit and zero gravity ping pong. Guests, who will be able to float throughout the hotel, will also be able to have video chats to friends and family back home via high-speed wireless Internet and will receive a hero’s welcome upon their return. Mr Bunger added: “With customizable private sleeping pods, top-quality space food and luxury design details, Aurora Station is ushering in a new era of space travel, setting the bar higher than ever before.”. 24 Jan 2019 Pictured: Renderings show inside the Aurora Station, the world’s first space hotel, which is set for lift off in 2021. • May 1, 2019 - Brussels, North Brabant, Belgium - May 1st, Brussels. A series of festivities are held throughout the week to celebrate 150 years of the tram. On Wednesday, a large parade brought together more than 40 trams of all eras, tracing their history from the horse-drawn trams of the first years to the trams 3,000 and 4,000 that circulate today in the streets of Brussels. The Tram Museum mobilized more than a hundred volunteers to run the Trams Parade. Also, some ten historic vicinal vehicles from all over the country, including a steam tram, were exhibited on Place Royale. But the star of this exhibition was the model of the new TNG tram (the New Generation Tram), currently under construction and whose first copies will circulate on the streets of Brussels in 2020. • October 9, 2018 - Jerusalem, Israel - A 2,000 year old stone column drum, Second Temple Period (First Century CE), around the time of Herod the Great's reign, unearthed earlier in 2018 in excavations underway near Binyanei HaUma, Jerusalem's International Convention Center, bears an engraved Aramic inscription reading “Hananiah son of Dudolos from Jerusalem”. Archaeologists share their excitement during a joint press conference of the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Israel Museum stressing this is the first and only Second Temple era artifact which displays the full spelling of Jerusalem, written in Hebrew letters, 'Yerushalayim', as it is spelled today. The archaeological context of the inscription does not allow determination who Hananiah son of Dudolos was, but it is likely that he was an artist potter, the son of an artist potter, who adopted a name from the Greek mythological realm, following Daedalus, the infamous artist. • Feb 28, 2008 - Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa - A video recording of black workers made to perform degrading acts by white university students has sparked outrage in South Africa and cast a new spotlight on racism in the 'Rainbow Nation'. It includes images of one of the students urinating into a container of soup, which is then given to four unwitting black cleaners who are later seen vomiting into buckets. A voice is heard explaining that the act is a protest at plans to integrate non-whites into a whites-only residence building. The university is in Bloemfontein, the rural heartland of the Afrikaaner, the original white settlers of South Africa. Even in the post-Apartheid era, racial harmony there remains elusive. One black student at the university said: ''If I am in class they (whites) can't even sit beside us. They just choose to sit beside other whites. That shows they are not appreciating us at all.'' The tape has sparked debate and brought condemnation from whites and non-whites. Police had to use stun grenades to disperse angry protesters on the campus. Two of the students behind the video have since finished their studies, while two others have been banned from the campus. They may face criminal charges. PICTURED: A black student walks past security outside the Reitz hostel on Thursday. (Credit Image: © Shayne Robinson/ZUMA Press)
