  • David and Victoria Beckham and their brood are living it up in a $6,500-a-night hotel after escaping the deadly Bali earthquake zone. The family had been enjoying a luxury retreat in Bali, but following an earthquake in the neighboring island of Lombok last week that left at least 321 dead, the football ace decided to evacuate his family 450 miles away from the disaster zone to a private island of Sumba near Indonesia. David and Victoria along with their children Brooklyn, 19, Romeo 15, Cruz 12, and Harper, 7, arrived at the Nihi resort on Sunday, according to media reports, and are staying in a stunning four-bedroom villa complete with its own pool, which goes for $6,500-a-night. But according to reports, the hotel — which has twice been voted the best hotel in the world by travel writers — is putting the Beckhams up for free. The family arrived to the island on Sunday and are said to have flown in by private jet before being whisked off to the Nihi resort in a SUV. As these photos shows, the stunning resort is the picture-perfect paradise and is located close to one of the region’s best surfing beaches. The resort boasts 27 villas and 38 rooms ranging in size, with all accommodations having a private pool, and the hotel is set on a 2.5km stretch of private beach and surrounded by lush greenery. The hotels asks guests who visit the local villages to wear appropriate clothing, including a sarong — so David should fee right at home — and a T-shirt that covers the shoulders. David and the boys have reportedly enjoyed surfing during their stay, while former Spice Girls Victoria and Harper have been pampered in the hotel’s spa. 13 Aug 2018 Pictured: David Beckham and his family are staying at the ultra luxurious Nihi resort on the private island of Sumba near Indonesia after escaping the Bali earthquake zone.
