  • EXCLUSIVE: Cheryl Ladd proves she gets better with age in these photographs taken ten years apart of her striking the iconic Charlie’s Angels pose. The 67-year-old actress — who was brought in to replace Farrah Fawcett in the 1970s TV show — recreated the classic look alongside charity cohorts Lisa O’Hurley, 46 — the wife of Seinfeld actor John O’Hurley — and U.S. news presenter Megyn Kelly, 48. The ladies joined forces once again at the 15th Annual Childhelp Drive The Dream Gala on February 2 at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona — the same event where they first struck the Angels pose ten years ago. Cheryl — who played private eye Kris Munroe on the hit American show, the sister of Fawcett’s character, after the actress quit following the first season — looked stunning in a deep V-neck black, long-sleeve, floor-length dress. An insider at the event revealed how the three ‘real life angels’ caused a stir on account of how youthful they appeared. The source said: ‘They thought it would be fun to recreate the photo that they took at the ball in 2009, and when you compare the two pictures, they actually look better now. Everyone wants to know what their secret is.’ Megyn, who parted ways with American network NBC last year and received a reported $35 million payout — also wowed in a black and gold sequin gown. Lisa, meanwhile, turned on the glamor in a classic black off-the-shoulder mermaid dress, teamed with a sparkling diamond choker necklace. The trio helped raised $4million at the gala, which Lisa said would go to help ‘profoundly abused and neglected children’. The Childhelp organization was also celebrating its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child abuse since 1959. Megyn — who received an award from Childhelp back in 2009 for her work as a Fox News anchor covering the subject of child abuse — said at the event: ‘I’ve been working with Childhelp for about a dozen

  • ** PREMIUM EXCLUSIVE RATES APPLY ** Harvey Weinstein talked to The Post while recuperating at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center on Friday, a day after three-hour spinal surgery to remove a trio of bone plates compressing his vertebrae. He said he sustained the back injury in an Aug. 17 car accident. While refusing to speak about any of the allegations against him, Weinstein said he only agreed to the interview, his first in more than a year, to prove that he hasn’t been exaggerating about his ailments. He relied heavily on a walker at a Manhattan court appearance last week, but his condition didn’t stop him from recently going out on the town at night and shopping. He told The Post that his back ailment had seriously deteriorated. **NO NEW YORK DAILY NEWS, NO NEW YORK TIMES, NO NEWSDAY, NO MAILONLINE, NO DAILY MAIL, NO DAILY MAIL TV**. 13 Dec 2019 Pictured: Harvey Weinstein. • EXCLUSIVE: Childhood pictures of Rihanna before she was famous. Robyn Rihanna Fenty, better known by her stage name Rihanna, was born in Barbados in 1988, to Ronald Fenty, who ran a garment warehouse, and Monica Braithwaite, an accountant. Along with her younger brother, Rihanna grew up in a troubled home. Her father was an alcoholic and a crack addict. Her childhood was deeply affected by her parents' marital problems and her dad's battle with drug and alcohol addictions, which eventually led to their divorce when she was 14. After his recovery, father and daughter grew close again and Rihanna still refers to him as the "coolest person on the planet". As a teenager Rihanna turned to music to escape her home troubles and formed a musical trio with two of her classmates. Her big break came in 2003 when friends introduced her and fellow bandmates to record producer Evan Rogers, who was on holiday in Barnados with his wife. When the group auditioned for Evan, he later said that "the minute Rihanna walked into the room, it was like the other two girls didn't exist." Over the course of the next year, Rihanna travelled to Rogers' home in Connecticut to work on her demo album. With the help of songwriter Carl Sturken she made a four-song demo that included "Pon de Replay" which would become her first hit single. Rihanna officially relocated when she was 16. "When I left Barbados, I didn't look back," she said. "I wanted to do what I had to do, even if it meant moving to America." Soon after, her demo fell into the hands of recording company Def Jam. She auditioned for them and legendary rapper Jay-Z, who was so impressed he signed her almost immediately. Eight months later Rihanna released her debut album, Music of the Sun, which went platinum despite less-than-rave reviews from Rolling Stone magazine who deemed it "lacking of ingenuity and rhythm." Date of pictures unknown but it's believed Rihanna was about 12 years old. 18 Oct 2017 Pictured: Rihanna. Photo credit: MEGA

  • May 5, 2017 - inconnu - Snack lovers can now get their teeth into a new brand of corn chips - made with insects.Triangular-shaped Chirps, which come in three flavours, are made using flour milled from cricketsThe all-female team behind the brand hope serving up bugs this way will male eating insects more socially acceptable. The advantage is that insects can be bred with almost zero impact on the environment yet produce more protein per calorie than beef.It takes one cricket to make each chip. The three flavour varieties are cheddar cheese, BBQ, and sea salt. The company was set up by American graduates Rose Wang and Laura D’Asaro.Wang was a Harvard student when she travelled to China where she ate her first bug—a scorpion. It had been fried and skewered on a stick like a kebab. Wang’s fellow travel mates dared her to try it.She took the challenge and to her surprise, declared it delicious. When she returned to the USA she and her roommate D’Asaro started cooking with crickets they bought from a local pet shop. They were soon joined in their culinary experiments by another Harvard student, Meryl Natow, and the trio formed Six Foods. The company is now manufacturing Chirps and hope the product will be the first in a long line of bug-based snacks. They said although most Westerners shudder at the prospect of eating an insect, around two billion people regularly eat bugs as part of their diet. Many insects, crickets included, contain all nine essential amino acids and more magnesium than beef. Insect protein is also sustainable, especially in comparison to traditional meat sources. It takes one gallon of water to produce one pound of insect protein. Almost two thousand gallons of water, by contrast, are needed to produced a half kilo of beef The girls discovered there is a booming cricket farming industry in the US crickets for fish and reptile feed. Scaling up to human consumption was no problem because crickets have a six-week life cycleNot all in

  • Oct 29, 2018 - Space - A gigantic cold front in the Perseus galaxy cluster has been observed by a trio of X-ray telescopes. The ancient cold front can be seen at the left of the image, drifting away from the inner, younger front closer to the centre. Galactic cold fronts are nothing like the cold fronts we experience on Earth, instead they are caused by galaxy clusters colliding into one another. The gravitational pull of a larger cluster tugs a smaller cluster closer, resulting in gas in the core of the cluster being sloshed around like liquid in a glass. This creates a cold front in a spiral pattern moving outwards from the core and these sloshing cold fronts can provide a probe of the intercluster medium.
