The right-wing government recently lowered the retirement age for judges from 70 to 65 effecitvely pushing more than a third of Supreme Court judges into early retirement. • A company has created a 24ct gold bike wheel that costs £10,000.<br />
<br />
Renowned for its high-performance carbon monocoque bicycle wheels, Swiss brand SPENGLE states the wheel is its most daring project yet. <br />
<br />
SPENGLE Gold is a bicycle wheel built with 24ct gold leaf hand laid over the brand’s cutting-edge carbon monocoque, a construction method also used in F1 racing for superior safety and performance record.<br />
<br />
Landing today (25Feb20), each SPENGLE Gold will be unique to the rider, built to order, and hand delivered and fitted by SPENGLE.<br />
<br />
Each wheelset is the result of over 3 months of meticulous and painstaking artistry. Priced at £10,000, they are the world’s most expensive cycling wheels, and available to buy now exclusively at www.spengle.com/collections.<br />
<br />
“The bicycle wheel represents a unique visual canvas – kinetic art in its most pure form. Art and sport are both deep passion points and with SPENGLE Gold we saw an opportunity to blend these two worlds’ together.' explains Pius Brauchart, CEO at SPENGLE.<br />
<br />
"There’s something very compelling in mixing the traditional craftmanship of hand-laid gold leaf with cutting edge materials science, and it has resulted in a visually stunning wheel which will compete at the highest of performance levels and then some.'<br />
<br />
“All of our wheels are created and constructed at our custom facility at the base of the Tatra mountain range in Slovakia, going through a 30-stage process of structural and performance testing before making it onto the road or trail.'<br />

Whilst we constantly look to create a product which has a striking aesthetic, pushing the boundaries of performance is of paramount importance and never has this been truer than with the SPENGLE Gold.”<br />

  • November 11, 2016 - Mosul, Nineveh, Iraq - A young girl looks at the dead bodies of ISIS militants, killed four days before by Iraqi forces, in Mosul's Al Intisar district on the south east of the city. The Al Intisar district was taken four days ago by Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) and, despite its proximity to ongoing fighting between ISF and ISIS militants, many residents still live in the settlement without regular power and water and with dwindling food supplies...The battle to retake Mosul, which fell June 2014, started on the 16th of October 2016 with Iraqi Security Forces eventually reaching the city on the 1st of November. Since then elements of the Iraq Army and Police have succeeded in pushing into the city and retaking several neighbourhoods allowing civilians living there to be evacuated - though many more remain trapped within Mosul. • January 2, 2018 - inconnu - Car giant Ford is to provide assembly line workers with powered exoskeletons to make their work easier.The EksoVest will provide the user with between 2.26 kilos and 6.8 kilos / 5lbs and15lbs of lift assistance, ideal for any action required under the vehicle. Some of these activities might include pushing in fastener rivets, snapping fuel lines into place or simply using any drill or impact drivers or torque wrenches.The vests , made of carbon fibre and steel tubing, are being supplied by US company Ekso Bionics in a pioneering partnership with Ford.A spokesman for Ekso Bionics said:” The physical demands of repetitive overhead work takes its toll on workers. “Some workers on the assembly line lift their arms an average of 4,600 times per day, or about 1 million times per year, increasing the possibility of fatigue or injury.“That’s where the EksoVest comes in. “Ford and Ekso Bionics partnered to explore how the upper body exoskeleton that elevates and supports a worker’s arms can help.By reducing the strain on a worker’s body, they feel better at the end of every day, the likelihood of sustaining injury is reduced.Jobs get completed to a higher level of quality, in a shorter amount of time, increasing both productivity and morale.Ford tested the EksoVest in two U.S. plants. As a result, use of the EksoVest will be expanded to plants in other regions, including Europe and South America.Ekso Bionics is headquartered in a former ford factory in California which opened in 1931 and was the largest auto assembly plant on the West Coast. Ekso Bionics co-founder Russ Angold said:” Collaboratively working with Ford enabled us to test and refine early prototypes of the EksoVest based on insights directly from their production line workers. “The end result is a wearable tool that reduces the strain on a worker’s body, reducing the likelihood of injury, and helping them feel better at

Graphic images show Amber with facial abrasions, bruises, and clumps of hair missing following an incident which allegedly happened days before Christmas in Los Angeles in December 2015, just nine months after the pair married. In the deposition Amber, 32, claims Depp, 55, attacked her at their Los Angeles penthouse before friends were due to arrive She claims that at one point he dragged her by the hair, onto their marital bed, and beat her while screaming: 'I'll f*****g kill you, you hear me?'  Describing what happened next, Heard claims in the legal document: 'Hoping to avoid the violence, I tried to calm Johnny down, and then went upstairs to try to remove myself from the situation. 'Johnny followed me, hit me in the back of my head, grabbed me by my hair again, got in front of me on the steps, and then dragged me by my hair up the last few steps.  'At the top of stairs, Johnny shoved me twice, which made me fear I would fall. I told Johnny that he had broken my wrist in an attempt to get him to stop. 'Johnny kept hitting me, and each time he knocked me down, I chose to react by simply standing up and looking him in the eye. Johnny responded by yelling: "Oh, you think you’re a f***ing tough guy?" 'He reeled back and head-butted me in my face, bashing my nose, which immediately began bleeding, sending searing pain through my face. I instantly started tearing up, and I thought that I would have to go to the hospital.  'I told Johnny I wanted to leave him, and that I would call the police if he ever touched me again. When I began to walk away toward the guest apartment, he responded by pushing me, then grabbed me a

  • EXCLUSIVE: Bed-ridden man walks again after 14 kg sac of swollen mass dangling from his thigh removed. NDIA,KOCHI, February 14, 2018 – Saidalavi, a 46-year-old man hailing from Kerala’s Thrissur district, was bedridden for the last two years because of a humungous swollen mass hanging from his left thigh in a sac like structure that weighed a staggering 14 kg. He got afflicted with lymphatic filariasis (elephantiasis) three decades ago and underwent a couple of surgeries over the years, but to no avail – the swelling kept increasing. The patient could move with great difficulty with the help of his aged mother and two brothers. His family members ran pillar to post, but no doctor was ready to take up his case due to the sheer size of the swelling which gave his leg a grotesque appearance. It was a race against time as his swollen legs had begun to get infected. Saidalavi’s life changed radically for the better a few days ago when a team of five surgeons and three anesthetists at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi removed the deformity in a surgery that lasted over five hours. Said Dr. Subramania Iyer, Head, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi: “It was a complex surgery. Several complications could rise because of the patient being overweight and his inability to walk. First, we treated him for four weeks with intensive antibiotic therapy to control infection in his legs. Then, the challenge was to institute Comprehensive Decongestive Therapy (CDT) which plays a major role in preparing a lymphedema patient for surgical treatment. In Saidalavi’s case, this went on for a month and involved Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and a special method of bandaging to make the legs softer by pushing the accumulated fluid to other parts of the body. The size of his swollen legs and immobility made this very difficult and needed at least four therapists instead of the usual one.” Dr. Subramania Iyer added: “Finall
