  • Newly-engaged power couple Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are starring in their first major campaign together — fronting Quay Australia’s new sunglasses collection. The duo dazzle in the campaign, wearing a variety of shades and with J-Lo showing off her stunning figure in an array of sexy outfits. The pair, who announced their engagement last month, pose together as well as in solo mode for the shoot, which took place in Miami. In one frame, J-Lo, 49, shows off her taut tummy in a pair of high-waisted white pants teamed with a boob tube and tuxedo jacket which striking a sultry poses with her hand touching her sunglasses. In another snap, Lopez shows off her bodywork while leaning against a car while donning a plunging glittery dress. Other photographs from the campaign show the duo posing together, with Jen cutting the mustard in one frame in a cutaway yellow dress. Speaking of the collaboration with the brand — which offers sunglasses for men and women priced between $50 and $60 — Lopez said: “Quay Australia has been one of my go-to brands ever since I first discovered them a few years ago. “I fell in love with them, and I’ve worn them regularly since. When the opportunity to team up was presented, it felt so fitting. Getting to do this with Alex was a big bonus too. It made $25,000 at auction in Boston, Massachusetts, yesterday along with other fascinating items of America's outlaw history including Al Capone's diamond watch, which made $84,375 (including buyer's premium) and handwritten music and lyrics by the gangster, which sold for $84,375.   • August 21, 2017 - Chicago, Illinois, USA - On August 21, 2017, the solar eclipse mesmerized people across the U.S. as the moon passed between the sun and earth.  In Chicago, thousands headed toward the Adler Planetarium by car, by bus or by walking. The Museum handed out 35,000  pairs of special eclipse glasses so that individuals could safely experience this once in a lifetime phenomenon.   The lakefront by the Planetarium also has one of the best views of the Chicago skyline.  At 1:19 PM, the coverage reached its peak in Chicago- not quite reaching totality, but still quite impressive.   • August 3, 2017 - inconnu - Personal devices like smartphones and computer tablets could soon be powered by energy harvested by the owner’s sunglasses.Researchers’ from Germany's Karlsruhe Institute of Technology have created a pair of sunglasses that generate electricity via solar cells that double as their lenses.Organic solar cells were chosen instead of more traditional silicon cells because they're transparent, flexible, lightweight, and can be manufactured in a variety of shapes and colours.Each solar cell lens weighs about six grams, is 1.6 mm thick, and was made to fit into a set of commercially-produced sunglass frames.The frames feature added electronics in the arms, including a microprocessor, two sensors and two displays. The lenses power those electronics, which measure and display the current illumination intensity and ambient temperature as bar graphs.Although they work best in direct sunlight, each lens is still able to generate 200 microwatts of power under indoor illumination as low as 500 lux, which is about the average lighting for most offices or living areas. That 200 microwatts is enough to power a device such as a hearing aid or a step counter.The technology could conceivably also be applied to the windows of buildings, where it would generate much more power.Head of Organic Photovoltaics Group at the institute’s Light Technology department Dr. Alexander Colsmann said:” “We bring solar power to places where other solar technologies fail.”According to Colsmann, another field of application is the integration of solar cells into buildings.Since the glass facades of many high-rise buildings must often be shaded, he called it “ an obvious option “ to use organic solar modules for transforming the absorbed light into electric power. But the worlds first ever 3D hologram table is no product of a special effects department.It has been created by a tech company in AustraliaMaker Euclideon has built a working prototype and are now looking for investors.Up to four people can walk around a holographic image and interact with it wearing only a small set of glasses.It's set to go on sale in 2018 is all goes well..Hologram tables has been featuring in science fiction films for years including the Star Wars series.Past attempts to make them a reality have stalled because the holograms were computer-generated stereo images, similar to those created for a 3D movie. Using this technology, a group of people standing around the table all see the same perspective.The image does not change as they move around the table so breaking the illusion.But boffins at Euclideon, based just outside Brisbane, say they have created a table where users move around and see what ever is projected in a changing perspective.Euclideon's multi-user hologram table can give up to four users at a time the experience of looking at a hologram that they can walk around and interact with, without the need for bulky augmented reality headgear.The firm’s table only requires users to use a small pair of motion-trackable sunglasses, very similar to a pair of 3D movie glasses.The table is able to track the position of each of eye of anyone wearing the glasses.It then builds a custom image for each eye. Up to eight separate images can be sorted out from what looks to the naked eye like a jumble of coloured light.This lets users view holograms l the way they are depicted in films such as Star Wars .Using the company’s own software processing developed originally for gamers called UD, gigantic city maps or CAD renders can be presented quickly and in detail..That would make the hologram tables ideal boardroom presentation tools.It could also b
