  • Young girl banned from chess tournament over “seductive” outfit..While competing at the 2017 National Scholastic Chess Championship in Putrajaya, the girl was approached by Chief Arbiter Sophian A. Yusof and told that “the dress she wore was improper and violated the dress code of the tournament,” her coach, Kaushal Khandhar, wrote in a lengthy Facebook statement. His post goes on to say that the poor girl felt “harassed and humiliated by the actions of the Tournament Director and Chief Arbiter [Sophian A. Yusof].” He reportedly told the coach and mother of the child that her dress was “seductive” and a “temptation from a certain angle far, far away.” The post has been shared nearly three thousand times...The mother was asked to get her child more appropriate attire at 10pm that night, past the hour when all shops would be closed. The tournament started the next morning at 9am, before any shops were open. The girl’s mother, Chin Wai Ling, did not have time to buy trousers and, as a result, the girl was forced to withdraw. At this time, let it be known that she was in leader position for her category at the tournament...Her coach detailed the ramifications of the incident: “the loss of time and money which was invested before, during and after the tournament on coaching, registration fees, traveling, accommodation and other incurred costs.”..“This bright young girl was recently the champion of her district in MSS Kuala Lumpur and has shown tremendous potential in chess. This incident has left her extremely disturbed, and embarrassed.”..Malaysians stood behind the girl, and have called for Chief Arbiter Sophian A. Yusof’s resignation, and expressed disgust in his sexualization of a young girl. Netizens shared his details and picture over two thousand times, leaving their angry remarks in the comments section...As of last Friday, the tournament director said they would r

  • This is the beautiful Rhode Island estate where Jennifer Lawrence will wed art gallery director Cooke Maroney today (Saturday 19 October). Belcourt of Newport, as it is called today, was designed in 1894 by the renowned American architect Richard Morris Hunt and inspired by Louis XIII’s hunting lodge at Versailles. It is currently owned by Carolyn Rafaelian, CEO of Alex and Ani, who had the sprawling 40,000-square-foot estate restored in 2012. The property has changed hand several times over the year and used to be known as Belcourt Castle, before it was re-birthed under its current name. Back in the 1990s the property became the talk of the town on account of the raucous parties it hosted, including a ‘No Underwear Allowed’ theme where female guests had to stand over a mirror to prove they were abiding by the rules. After decades of little care, the once-derelict mansion started to offer ghost and murder mystery tours. Rhode Island native Ms Rafaelian purchased the property in 2012 for $3.6million and oversaw a year-long restoration, which included an exorcism of the property. Speaking to the New York Times in 2013, Ms Rafaelian said: ‘There were energies and entities, some not pleasant. ‘I had a shaman perform ceremonies. We did a major cleansing, energy-wise. There was a lot.’ Today, 29-year-old actress Lawrence is set to exchange vows with Maroney, 34, at the historic venue, with 150 guests expected to attend. And an extravagant menu, complete with an array of hors d’oeuvres and many dessert options, including s’mores, is set to be served up. 19 Oct 2019 Pictured: CAPTION: Belcourt of Newport, the historic and lovingly-restored 1894 estate in Rhode Island where Jennifer Lawrence is set to wed Cooke Maroney on Saturday 19 October, 2019. • MIAMI, FL - AUGUST 07: Young sweethearts Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly broken up after the Disney star told Justin she didn't approve of his new hip-hop music friends. The Wizards Of Waverley Place star, who has been dating the Baby singer since the start of the year, has allegedly dumped the 17-year-old teen sensation because she is worried about the influence his new friends are having on him..In recent weeks, Justin has been spending more time publicly with Sean Kingston, rapper Lil Wayne, and singer Chris Brown who has a new song with the Canadian teenager. Chris Brown became a figure of notoriety after he attacked his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 which resulted with the Only Girl In The World singer having to go to hospital and Brown being charged with assault and making criminal threats. Lil Wayne meanwhile served eight months of a one year prison sentence in 2010 after pleading guilty to possession of a weapon. Justin has been friends with Jamaican singer Sean Kingston since they recorded the song Eenie Meenie together in April 2010 and last weekend when Justin and Sean were driving around South Beach in a Rolls Royce convertible, they were pulled over by a police officer who thought it was suspicious that two youngsters should be driving such an expensive car. Although the two boys didn't break any law and were allowed to continue driving, it is thought that Selena didn't like the attention that the incident drew to Justin. The final straw allegedly came when Justin took Sean to watch Selena perform that same weekend in Florida. A friend of Selena told the Sun newspaper: 'Selena told him to stop hanging with these bad people. She didn't want him to crash her gig. They had a huge row and said it was good they were having time apart while she was on tour.' However, Justin is said to have been devastated by her decision and was spotted in tears after one of their arguments. The friend added to the newspaper: 'It's hard seeing a little 17-yea

  • EXCLUSIVE: Kylie Jenner goes back to being a blonde (like she was with X-Boyfriend Tyga) seen here are the first pictures of a very "BLONDE" Kylie Jenner and her new boyfriend Jacques Webster, Jr. better know as hip-hop singer Travis Scott. The lovebirds arrived by yacht and dined in a private back room of the exclusive restaurant the River Yacht Club where Kylie and Travis looked very happy and were spotted kissing and being very romantic while bodyguards kept out unwanted people. The new couple had a blast at the exclusive waterside restaurant where they were joined by Miami-based restaurant, nightlife and hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman and his wife Isabela Rangel. While Kylie drank Evian water all night her new man Rapper Travis Scott was in full party mode and did a total of 17 shots of Don Julio 1942™- World's First Luxury Tequila‎ with their friends. Perhaps the Tequila took its toll, as Travis looked a little under the weather on the boat ride home. The couple spent a total of $2000.00 with their friends and left a very generous additional $100.00 in addition to the 20% tip at The River Yacht Club Restaurant in Miami on May 7, 2017 in Miami, Florida. 07 May 2017 Pictured: Kylie Jenner, Travis-Scott.
