  • October 1, 2018 - Banks, shops and businesses remain close during a general strike against the ‘Jewish Nation-State Law’ in Gaza City on October 1, 2018. The Gaza Strip and the West Bank, as well as Palestinian towns inside Israel have held a day of general strike in protest of the recently passed Jewish nation state law in Israel. The strike was called for by Palestinian national and Islamic factions in coordination with the High Follow-Up Committee for Arab Citizens in Israel, who condemn the legislation on the basis that it enshrines inequality among Israel citizens and turns non-Jews citizens in Israel into second-class citizens. The strike was also to protest the Israeli high court order for the residents of the Bedouin village of Khan Al-Ahmar to evacuate their village voluntarily or to face demolition and forced displacement. Monday 1th October 2018 was set by the Israeli authorities as the final deadline for the Khan Al-Ahmar villagers to leave before being forcefully removed from their village (Credit Image: © Ahmad Hasaballah/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire)

Both EDL and UAF had conditions for their protests imposed on them under Section 12 and 14 of the Public Order Act, 1986, due to concerns of serious public disorder, and disruption to the community. Her sister Miley Cyrus lost her Malibu home due to the raging wildfires. Butler, Miley and Robin Thicke, were among thousands who lost their homes to the blazes, which have killed at least 74 people across the state. Up to a thousand are still unaccounted for. The 300 star invited his A-list friends to his West Hollywood home for the cause, hoping to raise at least $1million for fire relief. Remains of at least 74 people have been recovered so far in California. 71 of the victims are from the Camp Fire around the Sierra foothills hamlet of Paradise and three are from the Woolsey Fire near Los Angeles. Of the dead, 13 victims are yet to be identified. The once picturesque town was home to nearly 27,000 residents before it was largely incinerated by the deadly Camp Fire on the night of November 8. More than a week later, a team of more than 9,000 firefighters have managed to carve containment lines around 45 percent of the blaze's perimeter, up from 35 percent a day earlier. The powerful fire razed through more than 142,000 acres in a little over a week. Nearly 12,000 homes and buildings, including most of the town of Paradise, were incinerated hours after the blaze erupted, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) has said. Thousands of additional structures are still threatened by the Camp Hill fire, and as many as 50,000 people were under evacuation orders at the height of the blaze. 17 Nov 2018 Pictured: Noah Cyrus. • A total eclipse swept through the tiny town of Spring City, Tennessee on Monday afternoon. Thousands from all over the United States and a few from around the world flocked to the city with a population of under 2,000 (according to the 2010 census). The city is situated dead-center of the path of totality of the eclipse, providing a spectacular view and one of the longest durations of totality (over 2 minutes). There were no dedicated parking areas or viewing spots, so cars simply pulled into the town and parked wherever they could, lining up in rows down the streets and along the railroad tracks that run through the town. Local businesses were thriving with the influx, and many were sold out of ‘eclipse merchandise’ such as t-shirts within hours and were taking online orders for people who missed their chance to purchase a t-shirt on the spot. Eric Henson, manager at the Movie Depot, a movie-rental store, still had a few t-shirts and said his store was ‘doing great’ with all the new business. Another local resident, Amanda Gornik, came out to sell painted rocks that she decorated on the spot with eclipse images or anything a customer asked for. 21 Aug 2017 Pictured: Total eclipse in Spring City, Tennessee. • EXCLUSIVE: ** NO USA TV AND NO USA WEB ** Kanye West gave the folks at the Ralph Lauren party an ultimatum -- kick a certain reporter out of the event, or he'll book it. Kanye was on the red carpet at the Ralph Lauren 50th Anniversary Fashion Show in Central Park Friday night, when one of his handlers delivered the threat to what looks like an event organizier. Kanye then jumped in and made it clear ... he wanted the reporter in question out of the joint, STAT. We're told the beef was over a question the reporter asked about the feud between Kim Kardashian and Tyson Beckford. Remember last month, when Tyson shaded Kim over her body and Kim fired back by saying, "Sis we all know why you don't care for it" ... lots of people took that as a homophobic slur. The reporter made a hasty exit before she could get kicked out. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Tyson was at the Plaza -- yep, where Cardi B attacked Nicki Minaj -- and said he didn't see the fight, but decided to say this ... "I carry a gun. I'm not allowed to get in fights.". 08 Sep 2018 Pictured: Kanye West. Photo credit: TMZ/MEGA TheMegaAgency.com +1 888 505 6342

  • File photo - Ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy delivers his concession speech at his campaign headquarters after the right-wing presidential primary vote's first round, on November 20, 2016 in Paris, France. Admitting defeat, Mr Sarkozy endorsed Francois Fillon, a moderate who finished first in Sunday's first round, according to near-complete results. Alain Juppe, who like Mr Fillon is an ex-prime minister, finished second. They will face each other in a run-off next Sunday. The winner will compete in next year's presidential election. A French judge has ordered ex-President Nicolas Sarkozy to stand trial in an illegal campaign finance case. Mr Sarkozy faces accusations that his party falsified accounts in order to hide 18m euros of campaign spending in 2012. Mr Sarkozy denies he was aware of the overspending, and will appeal against the order to stand trial. Photo by Christian Liewig/ABACAPRESS.COM
