  • Welcome to the world’s most expensive hotel suite — a stunning two-storey palace in the sky overlooking the Las Vegas strip, costing $100,000-a-night. The Palms has just unveiled the jewel in the crown of its ongoing $690million refurbishment of the casino resort — the Empathy Suite, a Sky Villa designed by and featuring the works of world-renowned English artist Damien Hirst, aged 53. The Empathy Suite sprawls over 9,000 square-feet and two floor and features a butterfly-motif mosaic tiled pool overlooking the strip, a vast collection of art including any original works by Hirst, a 13-seat curved glass bar top encrusting medical waste art, along with two lounge and theater areas that accommodate up to 52 guests. There’s also Hirst-desined furniture, drapery, carpeting and serpentine-shaped Italian leather sofas with the butterfly motif. Above the centre bar is Hirst’s Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time (2018) art piece – a marlin skeleton in a vitrine and taxidermy marlin in another. The opulent dining area seats eight people, while both master bedrooms come complete with California-King beds, massive closets and bathrooms with double sinks and theatrical lighting. The villa also boasts a powder room, a salt healing room, a fitness center and two massage rooms, while the outdoor area features a pool and panoramic views of Sin City. A stay at the suite — which is reserved for millionaire high-roller gamblers, also involves a highly personalised and exclusive guest experience while at the property, including 24-hour butler service, over-the-top welcome amenities and a private behind-the-scenes art tour of the suite and entire property. There’s also a chauffeured car service throughout the stay and A-list access to Palms’ premier amenities such as KAOS Dayclub & Nightclub, the Pearl Concert Theater and the Palms’ world-class recording studio and a $10,000 credit to use at the resort. The Sky Villa contains six original works from Hirst including

  • EXCLUSIVE: Last photos of Whitney Houston just two days before her death on 11th February 2012 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California. Houston could be seen leaving 'Tru' nightclub in Hollywood looking rather worse for wear, with red drips on her legs and a rather protruding belly. She can also be seen with what looks like a cut scar on her wrist. Houston was accompanied with her then 19-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, on-off boyfriend Ray J and sister-in-law and manager Patricia Houston. 09 Feb 2012 Pictured: Whitney Houston, Patricia Houston, Pat Houston. • EXCLUSIVE: SILVER SCREEN - MEET THE HUSBAND AND WIFE COUPLE WHO RETIRED AND DECIDED TO BECOME MOVIE STARS WITH PIX By Magnus News Agency Meet the husband and wife who decided when they retired to try something new in life - so they became MOVIE STARS. Gilbert Newton, 73, and wife Joy, 63, have been married since 1978 but never once imagined they’d be rubbing shoulders with Hollywood greats in their golden years. The couple have worked on nearly 100 films, TV shows, commercials and promotions since signing up to become extras. Far from slowing down, now one or the other of the pair is usually working on something seven days a week and they can be up at 4am to travel to location for filming. Gilbert, a former sales executive, and Joy, a former teacher, from London, say they both love their new jobs so much they don’t have any time for the usual hobbies of retirement. Gilbert has appeared on screen in films such as Genius, Florence Foster Jenkins and Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Joy has graced screens on the biggest show on earth appearing in American football Super Bowl advert in 2017. Gilbert said: “The first film I went for was Genius with Colin Firth and Jude Law. The agent gave me the details and booked me there and I arrived. “It’s was a completely new experience and nothing like I’d done before, but people were very nice, I’ve worked with nice people in the past but in a different industry, and with the extra work everyone is nice to you and saying you look good on screen and that sort of thing. “And I was featured in the film, I didn’t realise at first, but this was my first film and I got some screen time. “Jude Law and Colin Firth were the actors on the day, we stand pretty close to each other in a lot of the scenes. We’re not supposed to go up and speak to the actors because they’ve got things going on in their head and they don’t want to be distracted. “It was in a nightclub supposed to be in New York, but it was in London som
