• Prince Philip is selling this custom Range Rover - just weeks after he crashed a different car. The Royal is selling the 4.4-litre Range Rover Autobiography, the car in which he drove former US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle during a visit to Windsor back in 2016. The used car - from 2016 and with just 3200 miles on the clock - is on the market for £129,850 GBP - more than a new model can cost. Jack Morgan-Jones, of Bramley Motor Cars, who is selling the vehicle, said: "It's such a beautiful example that has very low mileage and has been kept to the absolute highest of standards." The luxurious blue SUV features entertainment screens. It was previously equipped with extra features when belonging to the Royal Household - including specially adapted fixed side steps to enable Her Majesty The Queen to be able to access the rear passenger compartment more comfortably. The description reads: "The warning sticker for the siren, which was located in the engine compartment, remains as a hint to this Range Rover's previous life. "These items have since been removed following the vehicle being taken out of Royal Service." The car is not bulletproof. Prince Philip, 97, was not injured in a car crash in mid-January, which happened as he drove another Land Rover out of a driveway onto a main road close to the Queen's Sandringham estate. • June 3, 2017 - London, UK - Maidenhead, UK. 3rd June 2017. Police surround Disabled People Against Cuts protesters blocking a main road into the town in protest in Theresa May’s constituency against the Tory government, the first in the world to be found guilty of the grave and systematic violations of disabled people's human rights by the UN and tell them they must get off the street. Paula Peters lets the police know what she thinks of them after they have threatened her with arrest to get her to move off the street. The cuts they have made since 2010 have had 9 times the impact on disabled people as on any other group, 19 times more for those with the highest support needs. DPAC say Tory polices are heartless and are starving, isolating and ultimately killing the disabled. They marched from the station to protest on the high street with a straw 'Theresa May - Weak and Wobbly' and the message 'Cuts Kill' and after a hour of protest returned calling on voters to vote for anyone but her to the station and blocked one of the busiest roads into the town for around 15 minutes. • October 8, 2018 - A day of voluntary olive picking near the settlement of Rahalim on an olive field part of the As-Sawiya Palestinian town, south of Nablus, in the presence of the Committee Against the Wall and Settlements, the Nablus governor and the British consul. Palestinian farmers usually need special permits to access their olive fields in the proximity of Israeli settlements, and sometimes they are even banned from them. Voluntary days of olive harvesting provide support and protections to these farmers when attending their fields and reduce the harassment from the Israeli army and settlers. Olives are a main source of income to hundreds of Palestinian families and being able to attend their fields is extremely important to them. A part from the continuous uprooting of olive trees and destruction of olive fields to make space to Israeli settlements and their expansion, to settlements roads, Israeli military zones, and the “security wall”, farmers in the West Bank have also witnessed several incidents of crop theft, olive trees chopping, harassment, and physical attacks by Israeli settlers. The Palestinian authority has no jurisdiction over Israelis in the West Bank, which means that it can’t prosecute Israeli settlers whose attacks often occur in the presence of Israeli military forces and are usually met with impunity (Credit Image: © Mohammed Turabi/IMAGESLIVE via ZUMA Wire)

 • Carelessness kills woman motorcyclist...Dashcam footage shows a driver and his passenger bickering as they drive along a main road in Thailand’s Soghkla Province...However any distraction that the argument may have caused cannot be blamed for the accident that occurred when a female motorcyclist changed lanes in front of the car without checking...The result is obvious form the footage and the 19 year old motorcyclist sustained serious head injuries from which she later died Her passenger was also seriously injured and remains in a serious condition...Obviously the accident would not have occurred if the woman had checked behind her before making the maneuver – especially as she was wearing a Muslim headscarf which would anyway have hindered her view and perhaps her hearing the car behind...Another major contributing factor was probably that she was not wearing a crash helmet. The law about crash helmets is vague in Thailand - most believe that the driver MUST wear one whilst the passenger need not. In any even the law is seldom observed especially in remote areas – all this contributes to Thailand having the second worst road fatalities record in the world...The driver, a 29 year old known simply as Yo, said “I had not yet paid my insurance so the repairs to my car will cost me 45,000 baht (approximately 1,000 pounds) and the motorcyclist won’t be insured – they never are”.©Exclusivepix Media (Credit Image: © Exclusivepix media via ZUMA Press)

 • March 22, 2019 - Qalqilya, West Bank, 22th March 2019. Cashes occur between Palestinian demonstrators and the Israeli army in the West Bank town of Kafr Qaddum. Since 2003, the road between Kafr Qaddum and Nablus has been blocked to Palestinians and left open only to Israeli settlers and the Israeli army although an Israeli court ruled the roadblock illegal. The roadblock makes it impossible for Palestinians to reach their farmlands by car and lengthens the distance to Nablus of 14 Km. Up until 2013 Israel has confiscated 2,031 dunums of Kafer Qaddum agricultural land for the nearby Israeli settlements of Kedumim Zefon, Jit, and Giv'at HaMerkaziz, which are all part of the main Kedumin settlement. Weekly Friday demonstrations have been held since July 2011 to demand the reopening of the road to Nablus and against the expansion of the Kedumin settlement. • Crews aboard the International Space Station are trained to use low sun angles to add a three-dimensional effect to flat landscapes, a skill that is well illustrated by this image of central Saudi Arabia.
The main river (upper left), located 120 kilometers (75 miles) south of the capital city Riyadh, has eroded its bed down into the rock layers, making a small canyon 250 meters (820 feet) deep. This in turn has led all of its tributaries to dig their own canyons, resulting in an elaborate, leaf-like pattern that casts shadows in the late afternoon sun. For scale, the area shown is just 12.5 kilometers (7.7 miles) across.
This photograph shows the faint tracing of a road following the main river. River beds are often the smoothest places in deserts for wheeled vehicles; they connect villages that occupy river beds and terraces up and downstream because there is access to water. Dark dots within the main river bed are trees that only grow where their roots can reach subsurface water.
The center of the small plateau is a slightly different color from the area surrounding it. This is a lighter-toned layer of sedimentary rock, one of many in the area. Other thin layers make benches within the canyons in the same style as seen in the Grand Canyon of the USA, but on a much smaller scale.
Astronaut photograph ISS045-E-55901 was acquired on October 10, 2015, with a Nikon D4 digital camera using a 1150 millimeter lens, and is provided by the ISS Crew Earth Observations Facility and the Earth Science and Remote Sensing Unit, Johnson Space Center. The image was taken by a member of the Expedition 45 crew. The image has been cropped and enhanced to improve contrast, and lens artifacts have been removed. The International Space Station Program supports the laboratory as part of the ISS National Lab to help astronauts take pictures of Earth that will be of the greatest value to scientists and the public, and to make those images freely available on the Internet. • August 1, 2018 - Ladakh, Kashmir, India - Ladakh is a mountainous region and the coldest desert in the world. ..The Ladakh is known for its extreme deserts, blue waters, freezing winds, glaciers and sand dunes. Ladakh is a region of India which is totally isolated from the modern world. The main source of water is the winter snowfall on the mountains..Ladakh is a high altitude mountainous region bounded by the Karakoram Range from the north and the Great Himalayas in the south. Often described as ‘Moonland' on account of the unique lunar landscape, Ladakh abounds in awesome physical features set in an enormous and spectacular environment. For close to a millennium, the region was an independent mountain kingdom of strategic importance. From here, the old caravan routes led westward through Kashmir to the Silk roads, northward across the Karakorum Pass to Central Asia, eastward across the Chang-thang highlands to Tibet and China, and southward through present-day Himachal Pradesh to the plains of India...The Ladakh is known for its extreme deserts, blue waters, freezing winds, glaciers and sand dunes. • The Settlement Commander, ROBERT BAROYAMWESIGA, at BidiBidi settlement believes the main challenges are to now find enough water to take care of the numbers arriving. More than 300,000 South Sudanese refugees have fled from the country’s civil war into Uganda since fighting broke out in July. They mostly travel by foot for days through the bush as roads have been blocked or are too dangerous to cross. The massive influx of refugees has caused a strain in humanitarian aid due to large numbers and lack of funding. BidiBidi settlement is now the third largest in the world and holds more than 210,000 people since its opening in September.
