  • November 18, 2018 - Magalia, California, USA - Magalia, California, U.S. - Justin Archer, a volunteer with North Valley Animal Disaster Group, was on one of a dozen or more animal rescue teams checking up on animals at the Camp Fire. Archer has been working on the fire off-an-on since day one of the blaze. This Sunday he and his partner Andrew Gooderham, a retired Chico Fire and Rescue firefighter, had over 28 homes to check up on. They were told to bring all animals to the shelter since rain is expected this week and it would make it difficult to continue taking care of animals that were left in the home.
