  • By Sanjay Pandey in India for MailOnline This 40-year-old gritty man not only survived 12 hours with a 5ft long and tree branch lodged in his neck and head, but also managed to travel 60km with the (wood) staff to a private hospital in Bangalore, India. Farm labourer Nanjesha HN, who hails from Amruthur in Tumkur district of south Indian state of Karnataka, had met with a road accident and got himself impaled on the branch (3cm in diameter) on December 22. The staff pierced through his neck - entering from the left of the neck and exiting on the right side behind the ear. A team of doctors from Sparsh Hospital, Yeshwantpur, successfully removed the branch and saved his life. Four months on, the patient has recovered well and is able to narrate his own story. “On December 22, I was riding a two-wheeler from my house and was heading toward Kunigal to attend the funeral of a relative. I veered to my left to avoid an oncoming truck. But I lost my balance and impaled myself on a dried up branch lying on the ground,” said Nanjesha, still struggling to speak clearly. “It pierced through my neck and emerged on the other side from behind my ear. I was bleeding profusely and had to keep my mouth wide open, gasping for breath. At that time, I didn’t know whether I would live to see the next morning. But I never gave up and kept fighting for survival,” he added. Luckily for Nanjesha, a passersby spotted him and called an ambulance. Though the vehicle reached in 20 minutes and he was taken to the nearby Kunigal government hospital, the doctors refused to take his case. “The doctor didn’t even touch me. I was still on the ambulance, so they decided to take me to another nearby hospital in Belluru Cross,” Nanjesha recalled. From there, he was taken to a private medical college where doctors administered first aid. Since the patient’s airways were obstructed, the doctors had to do a tracheostomy near his throat to provide an air passage to help him breathe. “I w

  • August 7, 2017 - inconnu - Here’s a towel which the inventor describes as a girl’s breast friend. The Ta Ta Towel is said to finally solve the problem of under boob sweat after a shower or bath.It looks like a scarf with a clip at either end,These cups are designed to lift and hold the breast up while keeping them dry at the same time. The design is also said to be great for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.Creator Erin Robertson said the ultra-soft rayon liner is made for sensitive nipples and can absorb any breast milk that might leak out. Erin , from the USA, said the idea came to her when she was living in Los Angeles and getting ready to go out on a first date. She explained:” As I got out of the shower and started getting ready, I could not stop sweating -- not because I was about to go on a first date, but because my tiny A/C unit was broken AND it was the beginning of summer.“I had a lot working against me. I tried everything: I tucked wash cloths under my breasts, I tried dumping baby powder all over me, I even put a t-shirt on and tucked it under my boobs. “But the wash cloths looked ridiculous, the baby powder made me look more like dough, and the t-shirt was making me sweat even more. “While I was blow-drying my hair, I just kept thinking , ’ There HAS to be a better way to keep the beads of sweat from dripping down my stomach.’ “I didn't want to wear a bra while I was getting ready or just lounging around the house. “ That night, I was lying in my bed thinking about all the different ways I could solve this problem... and then it hit me. I sat up with excitement!! “ Erin made a pattern by taping four pieces of printer paper together then borrowed a sewing machine and learned how to sew by watching YouTube videos. She eventually came up with some prototype Ta Ta Towels and started handing them out to friends to get feedback. Erin added:” To my wonderful surprise, what I thought wa

His experiences while living with the disease were captured on video over the course of a five-year period and are featured in the 2016 documentary, Gleason. • April 13, 2018 - Incheon, South Korea - A chemical processing plant west of Seoul has caught fire, blanketing the area with thick, dark smoke and potentially leaking toxic substances, firefighters said Friday. No casualties have been reported. The blaze started at around 11:50 a.m. in a chemical recyling factory in Incheon. A witness made the call to the emergency services saying ''pillars of dark smoke are surging'' from the plant. No reports of casualties from the factory have been made, authorities said. One fireman suffered an injury to his ankle and a fire truck has been gutted by fire after it caught flame. Fire authorities have mobilized all available forces, including 430 firefighters and 80 vehicles, in the area and are working to put out the blaze. They also issued a third-phase warning, the highest level of alert. But the thick and toxic fumes are hindering them making their way into the factory, the authorities said. The authorities have evacuated about 300 workers from nearby buildings. The firefighters said they are figuring out how many people were inside the factory before the fire broke out. The industrial complex to which the factory belongs houses nine companies, mostly dealing with oil waste processing. (Credit Image: © Ryu Seung-Il via ZUMA Wire)

  • June 27, 2017 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - Ahead of the Bundestag elections in roughly three months on September 24th, a podium discussion was organized and aimed at young voters so they may have a chance to be closer to the candidates and discuss issues with them directly. The event was organized as part of a cooperation between the Muenchen Volkshochschule (MVHS) and Bayerischer Rundfunk’s Puls. A point of controversy was the invitation of the AfD’s Petr Bystron, who is now under Verfassungsschutz (secret service) monitoring due to right-radical ties and connections to the ultra-radical Identitaere Bewegung. Furthermore, Bystron has been documented in the past with right-radicals, such as militant American Rick W. and violent neo-nazi Lukas Bals, with whom he intimidated opposition and journalists. .A source has verified that the other candidates were informed of them sharing a stage with a known right-radical, however the other candidates all voiced opposition, but refused to cancel their appearances together for fear they would be the only ones to do so, giving an advantage to other candidates..The AfD party has had numerous controversies as of late, most stemming from associations and leanings with the far- and radical right. Most recently, another AfD politician, Andre Poggenburg, was found as a participant in a leaked WhatsApp chat group saying such things as the neo-nazi slogan “Deutschland den Deutschen” (“Germany only for Germans”). Further messages included “after the [AfD] seizing of power, all journalists should be investigated and sifted out” (“nach der Machtuebernahme alle Journalisten ueberpruefen und sieben”). Poggenburg belongs to Bjoern Hoecke’s radical/nationalist/neo-nazi wing of the AfD..In March, Petr Bystron made the following statement, which, among other incidents, led to his monitoring by the Verfassungsschutz:.“Die Identitaere Bewegung ist eine Vorfeldorga

Foxx could be seen with blood on his had as he was being dragged out of a building by Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays a cop. In this scene, there is a huge explosion which rocks the building causing the two to go flying and hit the ground. In one shot, a severed limb could be seen dangling above Josephs head before dropping to the ground. Gordon-Levitt's character could be seen wearing an NFL "Saints' shirt with number 37 'Gleason'. this was a salute to former New Orleans Saints Safety player Steve Gleason. Gleason is especially well known for his blocked punt in a 2006 game that became a symbol of recovery in New Orleans in the team's first home game after Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, he revealed that he was battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. His experiences while living with the disease were captured on video over the course of a five-year period and are featured in the 2016 documentary, Gleason. The movie has been kept under wraps with very little information leaked. It is however thought to be a sci-fi movie about a drug epidemic that gives people a range of superpowers. The protagonist is believed to be a teenage actress who finds herself dealing the drug to help care for her family.
