While compared to the March 2016 period recorded at 0.397, the level of inequality or gini ratio only decreased by 0.004 points. BPS also released the number of poor people in Indonesia reached 27.77 million people in March 2017. Indonesia's ranking rose significantly compared to last year's position of 71. The index is divided into three categories, Food Loss and Waste, Sustainable Agriculture and Nutritional Chalenges. In the indicator Food Loss and Waste Indonesia is in position 24, with a score of 32.53. Sustainable Agriculture, Indonesia got a score of 53.87 and was ranked 16th. The management of PT Modern International officially announced the closure of almost 7 Eleven convenience stores operated by its subsidiary PT Modern Sevel Indonesia at the end of June 2017. The closing of the outlet was due to the company's continued losses since 2015, which caused the limited resources owned by the company to support the 7-Eleven outlet operations. The situation was worsened after the material transaction plan for the sale and transfer of the restaurant and convenience store segment by PT Charoen Phokphand Restu Indonesia was canceled.
