  • EXCLUSIVE: An epic clash of the titans has been caught on camera which saw one angry rhino mum scare off 15 ELEPHANTS Carpenter Martin Meyer was visiting a national park in South Africa when he spotted a rhino mum with her young calf. Martin has been visiting the park for 20 years on and off and often drives there for a ‘builder’s break’ between jobs. But never in all the years he’s been visiting had he seen anything like this before, when one rhino mum faced-off against a whole herd of elephants. Martin’s amazing images were taken around 4.20pm when he came across the brewing confrontation. Martin, who is not naming the park to protect the rhino mother, said: “Armed with an incredibly beautiful horn and her motherly instinct the mother rhino stood her ground and protected the calf, although she was completely outnumbered by the elephants. “A herd of about 15 elephants consisting of a matriarch and a few youngsters and a few sub adult bulls were approaching and going to cross the path of the mum and the calf. “The rhino mum looked intently in their direction and the ellies seemed oblivious to her and the calf and kept encroaching on her personal space. “When they were around 20 metres away from her position she exploded into a sprint with the baby following and ran directly towards the elephants sending them scattering in all directions, with a massive cloud of dust as a result. “After recovering from the initial shock the elephant herd regrouped and aligned themselves next to one another to slowly move closer to the rhino mum, almost taunting her. Some of the young bulls even moved around and circled them from behind.” More than three minutes of stand-off followed as the stare down continued between the rhino mother and the matriarch of the ellies. Martin said: “My adrenaline was pumping and I was holding my breath for what might happen next, my wife always jokes with me that I stop breathing when I see special stuff in the bush. “As the d

  • This Two And Half Years Old Monk From Thailand Has Been A Storm On Internet For His Cuteness.<br />
Nongkorn was sent to a Thailand temple Wat Pa Maneekan when he was only three months old.<br />
Now Nongkornís parents send him to temple in the morning and get him back at night. As Nongkorn is too young and has to get up early, he is always sleepy. Sometimes, Nongkorn will just sleep at his master.<br />
Nongkorn is diligent when he is awake. He would go out with masters to beg for alms.

  • A polar bear and her four-month-old cub are seen here leaving the maternity den and venturing into the outdoors in an impossibly cute video. The cub is the first polar bear to be born in the UK for 25 years and is now starting to explore the outdoor enclosure at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s Highland Wildlife Park. In the video the mother Victoria is seen walking out of the maternity den first, before her precious little cub emerges behind her keeping close to his mother. The pair are then seen foraging around in the grassy outdoor enclosure, which was witnesses by visitors at the park for the first time this week [21 March, 2018]. Previously the polar bear enclosure had been closed to the public to allow the bears the privacy required in the early weeks after birth. Una Richardson, head keeper at the RZSS Highland Wildlife Park in Kincraig near Kingussie, said, “Having spent four months in her maternity den, Victoria quickly took the chance to go outside. “Understandably, her cub has been more cautious and is still getting used to new sights, smells and sounds.” Douglas Richardson, the park’s head of living collections, said, “Our pioneering captive polar bear management programme closely mirrors what happens in the wild and this birth shows our approach is working. “This is vital because a healthy and robust captive population may one day be needed to augment numbers in the wild, such are the threats to the species from climate change and human pressures. “The reintroduction of polar bears would be an enormous task but we need to have the option. While our cub will never be in the wild, there is a chance its offspring may be in decades to come.” The birth of the cub and journey so far is also being filmed for a forthcoming Channel 4 documentary. 23 Mar 2018 Pictured: A polar bear and her cub — the first to be born in the UK in 25 years - are seen emerging from their maternity den at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s High

  • Cristiano Ronaldo and his mini-me are two peas in a pod in this very cute photoshoot for the football star’s new CR7 Junior denim line. The 32-year-old Real Madrid player and his seven-year-old son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, pose up a storm, flexing their muscles while shirtless and donning matching outfits. The CR7 Junior collection is available exclusively on CR7.com and markets itself as the “future of denim” with “unrivaled mobility”. Speaking about the new line, Ronaldo explained: “For me, the CR7 Junior collection is all about having fun and being free, being creative and confident. “The stretch denim we have used in the collection is extremely comfortable due to the technical elements in the fabric, which will allow boys to run around and be active, move freely and most importantly, play.” Ronaldo — who is also father to four-month-old twins Mateo and Eva Maria and whose girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez is pregnant with his fourth child — went on: “This is why we have used the PRESS PLAY tagline for the brand. “I believe the youth of today are the ones driving the society forward in so many ways and I felt that creating a denim collection with my son would celebrate this.”. 14 Nov 2017 Pictured: Cristiano Ronaldo and his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. pose together in a photoshoot for the Real Madrid star's new CR7 Junior denim line.

• An art-loving couple who are self-isolating in London have created a miniature art gallery for their pet gerbils.<br />
<br />
9-month-old brothers Pandoro and Tiramisù were met with a special surprise when their owners Filippo Lorenzin, an independent curator who works at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum, and his girlfriend, artist Marianna Benetti, unveiled a DIY miniature museum - the product of four hours of labour during the couple’s 14th day of quarantine.<br />
<br />
The little gallery features four exquisite paintings modelled on famous masterpieces.<br />
<br />
Versions of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Edvard Munch’s The Scream and Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss, all rendered in Benetti’s expert hand, grace the museum’s walls.<br />
<br />
Each, of course, comes with its own animalistic twist, subbing in a rodent where a human might otherwise feature - tailored, perhaps, to the VIP pint-sized patrons.<br />
<br />
Johannes Vermeer’s The Girl With the Pearl Earring, for instance, is re-imagined as The Gerbil With the Pearl Earring.<br />
<br />
Each parody is finished off with a clean cardboard frame and a wall label featuring a QR code.<br />
<br />
Speaking to Bored Panda, Filippo said: "We visit museums and galleries whenever we can. We are interested in the artworks as much as in the way these are displayed.<br />
<br />
"Are the QR codes to engage the public working? How comfortable are the gallery stools? Is there any audio guide? etc.<br />
<br />
"When Marianna suggested to make a sort of doll house for our beloved gerbils as pastime for a lazy Sunday spent locked at home, I suggested to make a small art gallery. She is very good at painting and it was a nice opportunity to keep us busy with a fun project."<br />
<br />
According to Filippo, the gerbils love the gallery.<br />
<br />
"They seemed interested in everything but the paintings, which made us laugh," he said.<br />
<br />
"They explored the space interacting with the stool, the signs and the benches instead."<br />
<br />
Filippo and Marianna have been blown away with the reaction to the project on social media and are open to

  • An art-loving couple who are self-isolating in London have created a miniature art gallery for their pet gerbils.<br />

"They seemed interested in everything but the paintings, which made us laugh," he said.<br />
<br />
"They explored the space interacting with the stool, the signs and the benches instead."<br />
<br />
Filippo and Marianna have been blown away with the reaction to the project on social media and are open to

  • An art-loving couple who are self-isolating in London have created a miniature art gallery for their pet gerbils.<br />
<br />
<br />
The little gallery features four exquisite paintings modelled on famous masterpieces.<br />
<br />
Versions of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Edvard Munch’s The Scream and Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss, all rendered in Benetti’s expert hand, grace the museum’s walls.<br />
<br />
Each, of course, comes with its own animalistic twist, subbing in a rodent where a human might otherwise feature - tailored, perhaps, to the VIP pint-sized patrons.<br />
<br />
Johannes Vermeer’s The Girl With the Pearl Earring, for instance, is re-imagined as The Gerbil With the Pearl Earring.<br />
<br />
Each parody is finished off with a clean cardboard frame and a wall label featuring a QR code.<br />
<br />
Speaking to Bored Panda, Filippo said: "We visit museums and galleries whenever we can. We are interested in the artworks as much as in the way these are displayed.<br />
<br />
"Are the QR codes to engage the public working? How comfortable are the gallery stools? Is there any audio guide? etc.<br />
<br />
"When Marianna suggested to make a sort of doll house for our beloved gerbils as pastime for a lazy Sunday spent locked at home, I suggested to make a small art gallery. She is very good at painting and it was a nice opportunity to keep us busy with a fun project."<br />
