  • Dame Joans Collins takes to the high seas and dons a captain’s hat in a new comical ad campaign for mobile phone network Three. The 86-year-old actress and Hollywood icon calls on phone customers to ‘ditch and switch’ their phone network to mark an industry-wide change in the UK allowing mobile users to change networks by sending a simple free text. The ad draws on five-times-married Collins’s vast dating experience to encourage viewers to take control and not stay in an ‘unsatisfactory relationship’. The Golden Globe star is seen living the high life on-board a yacht in sunny St Tropez, with playful nods towards the benefits of choosing ‘the one’, before she turns to the camera to say: ‘I’ve never settled for anyone or anything which didn’t float my boat… ‘It’s now easier than ever to switch. So darling if they’re not satisfying you, then just... ghost them. So, take control - ditch and switch to Three.’ Speaking about the campaign, Collins said: ‘Having been married a few times, I can tell you now that staying with someone just to be in a relationship won’t make you happy. ‘It took me a long time to find ‘the one’ because I was never ever going to settle for second best. The relationship you have with your mobile network shouldn’t be any different – when you start to feel unloved, dissatisfied and you can’t see past those niggles, it’s time to move on, darling.’ Launching on 2 July, mobile customers can get the code they need to switch networks by simply sending a free text message – rather than having to call their current provider – and can switch mobile networks in just one working day. To mark this, Three is offering new and upgrading customers six months half price line rental, on its Unlimited tariff (24 month Advanced Plan). This offer is available now until 22 August, on a range of handsets, Home, Tablet and SIM only plans. For example, a 24-month SIM-only Advanced Plan with unlimited data, calls

  • The Night King from Game Of Thrones was dramatically killed off at the hands of Arya Stark on Sunday’s epic episode. But the man behind the prosthetic mask — Slovakia born stuntman Vladimir Furdik — is now showing his softer side, by doing paid-for birthday shoutouts and personalized videos for fans on a new celebrity app called Cameo. For $100, die-hard fans can get Furdik, 48, to record them a personal video message, mentioning their name or even wishing them happy birthday. As this collection of videos show, the Night King certainly has his endearing, friendly side when not clad in scary prosthetics and with those piercing icy-blue eyes. Furdik reprised the role of Night King in Game Of Thrones in season six, through to the current and last eighth season; the role was previously portrayed by British-American character actor Richard Brake in the fourth and fifth seasons. Furdik also has a slew of other blockbuster credits under his belt, having done stunt work on the likes of Snow White And The Huntsman, Skyfall, Spartacus and Thor. He joined the Cameo app in February of this year, initially charged $55 per video, but almost doubled his fee to $100 on April 12, just two days before the hotly anticipated Game Of Thrones season finale premiere episode. Cameo is a Chicago-based app which launched in 2016 and now has more than 3,500 celebs — from musicians and actors to reality stars — on its books. Celebrities set their own price for making a video, and take the lion’s share of the fee with a 75 per cent cut, the remainder going to Cameo. Customers then have the completed video sent to them directly to keep. TEASE: For $100, die-hard fans can get Furdik, 48, to record them a personal video message, mentioning their name or even wishing them happy birthday. 02 May 2019 Pictured: Game Of Thrones Night King actor Vladimir Furdik appears in a series of videos on Cameo, a celebrity app where stars do personal shout outs to die-hard fans. • A McDonalds once branded the “ugliest building in Rotterdam” is enjoying a new lease of life as the poshest Maccies in the world. Looking more like a modern art gallery with glass floor-to-ceiling windows, this recently refurbished McDonalds in the Dutch city of Rotterdam is possibly the poshest in the world. Located on the iconic Coolsingel in the city’s “Cool District” - the fast-food eatery comes complete with grand central spiral staircase leading to the second floor and also boasts an outside terrace so customers can enjoy their Big Macs al fresco if they desire. The seats are upholstered in fine leather and the tables are made from marble while outside the perforated golden facade gives the location an extra special dazzling appeal and is a far cry from it’s former dated boxy appearance. The restaurant was completed at the end of 2015 after design firm Mei Architects were brought in to overhaul the dated building. And after a very fast construction the newly re-modeled building was completed in just two months. 09 Nov 2017 Pictured: This recently refurbished McDonalds in Rotterdam in The Netherlands is possibly the poshest in the world with floor-to-ceiling glass frontage and a perforated gold facade. • EXCLUSIVE: Battling a rare health condition that has left half of her face disfigured, a 24-year-old Indian woman says she tries to live positively despite jeers by people. Sasikala K, from Chennai, the capital of India’s southern Tamil Nadu state, suffers from plexiform neurofibromatosis, which has taken a toll on her face, affecting the right side. However, she admits her confidence has taken a hit of late. Sasikala, who prefers to live boldly and does not cover her face, likes dressing up and wearing make-up, much like girls her age, though she finds it difficult to execute them owing to her complications. She was only six-months-old when her parents noticed a part of her face swelling. However, they waited for another one and a half years to get medical help. “I have always been very bold, however, with age, the condition progressed and no one has come for help,” she says, adding, “I am slowly losing my confidence.” According to medical experts, her condition affects the face and craniofacial region of the body. It can also affect the neck and other parts of the body, depending upon the host. The family had not considered the deformity to be a big issue until Sasikala turned six and the face started to swell at an unusual rate. Now, almost 18 years later, she finds it difficult to execute daily chores like eating and brushing. The 24-year old is an employee at an embroidery unit run by a trust. Sasikala took it up as a means to support her family after completing her diploma in nursing and unable to land a job in the hospitality sector. Kumar, 54, Sasikala’s father, says his daughter has been under the knife four times, but it has only gotten worse. “She was six when doctors operated upon her for the first time,” Kumar says. “The result was satisfying and she looked normal,” he added. However, the joy was short-lived, as the tumours grew back again. Kumar says upon approaching the doctors again, he was told that it could be controlled but wou
