• EXCLUSIVE: This grotesque creature has been dubbed a ‘porkey’ by islanders in Barbados after it was born resembling a cross between a pig and a monkey. Pig farmer Daphne Boyce said she was left shocked at the sight which confronted her when she went to check on her sow, which had just given birth to 12 piglets. “One of the piglets was acting strange and not mixing with the others,” said 75-year-old Daphne. “I prodded it with a stick to try to turn it over because it was keeping on one side. When it turned over, I said ‘No! This got to be a monkey face.’ "I called my brother and I said, ‘Roger, Roger, this pig looks like a monkey.’" Mrs Boyce is convinced one of the wild Green Monkeys that roams the area must have had its way with her pregnant sow. “I don’t see any other explanation,” she said. Mrs Boyce said the creatures eyes were close to the forehead 'like a monkey’s,' while it had 'one pig ear and one monkey’s ear.' “It didn’t have a snout but a mouth just like a monkey,” she said. Mrs Boyce’s brother, Roger Feliciano, who took photos of the strange-looking creature with his cellphone, said he tried to feed it milk with a baby bottle, but was not successful. The animal died after four days. Mrs Boyce said she could not stop the monkeys from “monkeying around” with her pigs since they were rampant in her neighbourhood. “They all up on the roof,” she added. "I got a mango tree there and they eat all the mangoes. When people ask me why I don’t have any mangoes in the tree, I tell them the tree belong to the monkeys.” Mrs Boyce said this was not the first time monkeys had dabbled with other animals on the Caribbean island. She recalled one of her friends having a 'monkey sheep' a few years ago. The green monkeys found in Barbados originally came from Senegal and the Gambia in West Africa approximately 350 years ago. 27 May 2018 Pictured: Porkey. • Cops left stunned after discovering this hissing alligator in a sewer. Cape Coral police said they responded to a report of an alligator in a sewer opening. When they arrive in the scene, they quickly found the creature after hearing a blood-curdling hiss coming from the drain. An officer's body camera recorded the video on May 15 of a trapper pulling out the 7-foot-long reptile. The fearless trapper then used a noose to grab the gator before pulling it out of the sewer head first. Cape Coral police assisted with the removal of the alligator, which thrashed and rolled a few times on the grass before being put in the back of a pickup. 24 May 2019 Pictured: Alligator rescued from drain in Cape Coral. • This video shows the astonishing damage caused to a car after it was broken into by a bear. The terrifying damage was caused by a bear in Colorado, who is well known for a number of previous break-ins. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) posted a video of the car, which had been parked in front of a home in Estes Park, on Friday May 10. The shocking clip, showed the interior of the vehicle had been torn to shreds by the raw power of the hungry bear. The seats had been decimated, the driver side door was also completely destroyed and the ceiling of the car had also been ripped down. Amazingly, the creature was known to authorities and had carried out several similar attacks, nearby. In a statement, CPW said: "'This video from last night's incident shows what can happen to your vehicle if you leave your car doors unlocked. Bears are exceptionally smart, which means us humans have to be exceptionally Bear Smart!". 16 May 2019 Pictured: Damage caused by bear attack. Photo credit: MEGA TheMegaAgency.com +1 888 505 6342

Photographer and guide Paul Goldstein has spent thirty years showing people the Rift Valley in Kenya from ground level, for want of a change he has taken to the skies.

The Wimbledon-based guide for Exodus Travels says: “Lake Magadi in Kenya is one of the less fabled Rift Lakes lacking the box office of Bogoria or Nakuru, but it is just as rewarding. Greater and Lesser flamingos flourish in these alkaline rich soda lakes and only a few miles of game-rich valley floor separates Magadi from the Northern tip of Lake Natron.

“Ever since I saw Denys Finch Hatton fly across these lakes in Out of Africa, I have been mesmerised by the vast shimmering flocks of these birds, aware how parlous their existence is. Too much rain destroys the alkaline content of the soda lakes and can irrevocably alter their diet and breeding patterns.

“A sunrise flight is both dramatic and literally uplifting as the long shadows from the early sun gild the pink and red birds. However, it is late afternoon when the Lake really excels, as the wind meticulously sculpts the soda patterns into intricate and indeed beautiful patterns.

“On this day there were plenty on show and the bird's eye view down a long lens was utterly captivating.”
Paul has run fifteen marathons in a tiger suit for charity. This year (2020) he will run the London marathon AND run the Mount Everest marathon wearing the tiger suit for the ‘Worth More Alive X’ tiger preservation charity.
