  • EXCLUSIVE: The jail where Ghislaine Maxwell is being held following her arrest at her $1 million home in New Hampshire. Maxwell had asked about the 'flight patterns' over the home before purchasing it with cash under an LLC, the broker who sold the house has claimed. Maxwell, who is accused of procuring underage girls for billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was arrested Thursday morning at a luxurious mountain top home called Tuckedaway, outside the tiny town of Bradford, months after she disappeared from the public eye. She had reportedly been staying in the four-bed, four-bathroom, 4,500 sq ft house since December when she bought the property for $1.07million in cash, using a limited liability company called Granite Reality. She is now awaiting transfer to New York to face charges of procuring girls as young as 14 for Epstein to sexually abuse - and could even be held in the same Manhattan jail where Epstein died last year. If convicted on all counts, Maxwell faces 35 years behind bars at a maximum. It would mean she'd be 93 by the time she'd be released. 04 Jul 2020 Pictured: Merrimack County department of corrections. • EXCLUSIVE: An epic clash of the titans has been caught on camera which saw one angry rhino mum scare off 15 ELEPHANTS Carpenter Martin Meyer was visiting a national park in South Africa when he spotted a rhino mum with her young calf. Martin has been visiting the park for 20 years on and off and often drives there for a ‘builder’s break’ between jobs. But never in all the years he’s been visiting had he seen anything like this before, when one rhino mum faced-off against a whole herd of elephants. Martin’s amazing images were taken around 4.20pm when he came across the brewing confrontation. Martin, who is not naming the park to protect the rhino mother, said: “Armed with an incredibly beautiful horn and her motherly instinct the mother rhino stood her ground and protected the calf, although she was completely outnumbered by the elephants. “A herd of about 15 elephants consisting of a matriarch and a few youngsters and a few sub adult bulls were approaching and going to cross the path of the mum and the calf. “The rhino mum looked intently in their direction and the ellies seemed oblivious to her and the calf and kept encroaching on her personal space. “When they were around 20 metres away from her position she exploded into a sprint with the baby following and ran directly towards the elephants sending them scattering in all directions, with a massive cloud of dust as a result. “After recovering from the initial shock the elephant herd regrouped and aligned themselves next to one another to slowly move closer to the rhino mum, almost taunting her. Some of the young bulls even moved around and circled them from behind.” More than three minutes of stand-off followed as the stare down continued between the rhino mother and the matriarch of the ellies. Martin said: “My adrenaline was pumping and I was holding my breath for what might happen next, my wife always jokes with me that I stop breathing when I see special stuff in the bush. “As the d

  • August 4, 2017 - inconnu - Future electric cars could become more reliable – by harvesting power generated by the wheels. The device would help to give electric cars greater range, a problem which makes many people reluctant to take up the technology.Wheel Battery is an award-winning design that provides rapid charging in emergencies. An auxiliary battery gets charged through the electricity generated by the car’s running wheels. The demand for electric cars has been quickly increasing in recent times. But due to insufficient charging points, electric car drivers face difficulties finding places to recharge their batteries. This creates a certain amount of reluctance in people to switch over to electric cars. On average, an hour’s charge on 220V allows an electric car to drive over 10 kilometres. To recharge a car completely, an electric car user would need at least 10 hours of charging time. As an alternative solution, Wheel Battery , created by students at South Korea’s Hoseo University, has designed an auxiliary battery that can be installed in the wheels. This auxiliary battery functions as an alternative to the car battery when a driver needs to charge the car but no charging points are available. Wheel Battery has been designed so that the user can easily plug in For convenience, the battery status and amount if charge available is also indicated on the exterior of the auxiliary battery. An app would also be able to tell the driver information about the electricity generated. The idea has won a Red Dot design award in Germany. # UNE BATTERIE DE SECOURS POUR VOITURES ELECTRIQUES (Credit Image: © Visual via ZUMA Press)

  • July 27, 2017 - Queensland, inconnu - An electric powered tricycle is all set to go places. The DC-Tri’s unique design provides riders with a low centre of gravity making it virtually untippable. It even offers riders two optional rear tyre sleeves giving the trike the ability to drift. Because there is no requirement for riders to have great balance, it makes the machine appealing to a wide range of people, including young adults and an older, commuting demographic. The trike was designed to reduce pain associated with long distance bike riding such as wrist strain, back and saddle soreness. The Australian team behind the trike says riders can travel long distances, far more safely and with much more control than a traditional push trike or scooter. To operate the trike, riders simply step on the floor platform, turn on the battery via the controller on the left hand grip and then press the throttle located on the right grip. Using the LCD screen, users can monitor distance, speed, travel duration and more. There’s even a USB port for charging devices. The trike’s mode controller offers five different speeds, allowing users to maximize their speed limits. To slow down, riders simply squeeze the disc brake located on the left grip. Additionally, riders can adjust the trike’s shocks, based on terrain, or these can simply be locked. The trike can travel up to 15 MPH for up to 20-30 miles, dependent on use, and features a battery that can be recharged with its accompanying charger and through any standard power outlet. Riders can opt to self-propel or use the electric motor to ride the trike. Self-propelling allows the trike to be ridden like a scooter. The trike’s unique design means it fits through virtually any standard door or elevator. Its size and width are also compatible for use on pavements, footpaths and walkways. A spokesman said:” Perhaps the most impressive feature is the trike’s zero turning radius and exceptio
