  • New York cops were left stunned when they spotted this enormous elephant walking down the street. The colossal mammal wondered out of its enclosure at the Sanctuary for Animals on the evening of Sunday November 11. Cops then sprang into action and helped escort the beast back to its home. The 44-year-old elephant was brought to America after surviving a napalm bombing during the Vietnam War. The incident occurred in Westtown, which is on the border between New York and New Jersey. Photos posted by the New York State Police Department show the elephant milling around in the dark on the road, which was illuminated by the headlights of a car. One police official said: "Never a dull moment in Troop F.". 13 Nov 2018 Pictured: Elephant spotted wondering the streets of New York. Photo credit: MEGA TheMegaAgency.com +1 888 505 6342
