  • NORFOLK (June 24, 2013) The Virginia-class attack submarine Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) Minnesota (SSN 783) pulls pierside at Naval Station Norfolk from a scheduled underway. Minnesota, the Navy's 10th Virginia-class submarine, was delivered to the Navy June 6, 11 months ahead of schedule. Construction of the Minnesota by Huntington Ingalls Industries at the company's Newport News, Va., shipbuilding division began in Feb. 2008. 'I came from Malawi in 2017 and it's been 3 years now in South Africa. Where I was staying before, my house burned down and everything was gone but I was able to rescue my passport which has been burned but only few things were visible. I was about to apply for the new passport but the lock down started then couldn't do it. The border of South Africa closed and I was thinking to go back to my country when my passport will be ready  but I'm really stuck as I don't know when this lock down will be lifted so that I can apply for a new passport and  go back home. All the money I kept to apply for the new passport, I used it to survive as I'm not working. I was working as a maid but I lost the job because for the Covid 19 lock down and I don't have anything on my hand. Neither I have the money to apply for the passport nor do I have the money to eat. I have one kid and my husband left me long time ago so I don't have anyone in South Africa whom I can ask for help in this difficult situation. One of my neighbors gave me on Maze Meal when the lock down started but now it's about to finish and I really don't have no plan where can I get food for my child. I don't know what to do, whom to ask? There are NGOS who came for food distribution but there are so many different nationalities here and it only covers few so I didn't able to get nothing. If the situation will be like this then we need to starve as I can see there are no any responsibilities taken my Malawian Government or the South government for foreign nationals so far.' He also presented DG Commendation Disc and Letter to 5(five)personnel of CRPF, including 2(two) officers, who performed exceedingly well in militancy/law & order situation in Kashmir Valley. They are Shri DP Pandey Asstt Comdt of 73 Bn ,Shri Bharmal Ram Asstt Comdt of 29 Bn,SI/GD Rajesh Kumar & HC/GD Bhubaneswar of 44 Bn,& ASI/GD Baliram Jaishwal of 82 Bn. Shri Shiv Bahor Patel,SI/GD Ramanand Yadav, HC/GD Gyan Singh of 54 Bn,CT/GD Dharmender Kumar, CT/CPTR Ramesh Kumar of 181 Bn shared their experiences during the duties of SANJY 2017 & the ways in which they helped the pilgrims on various occasions. Throughout October, organ specialists Harrison and Harrison will remove the instrument Ð including almost all its 5,403 pipes Ð and take it to their workshop in Durham for repair and rebuilding. The refurbishment work is the first on this scale since 1903. It will cost £2m and take around two years to complete, with the restored instrument due to be ready for use in autumn 2020. Matthews and wife Jane bought the hotel, which is a favourite of the rich and famous, in September 1995. It was purchased from legendary island aviator and local adventurer Rémy de Haenen. I tried everything: I tucked wash cloths under my breasts, I tried dumping baby powder all over me, I even put a t-shirt on and tucked it under my boobs. “But the wash cloths looked ridiculous, the baby powder made me look more like dough, and the t-shirt was making me sweat even more. “While I was blow-drying my hair, I just kept thinking , ’ There HAS to be a better way to keep the beads of sweat from dripping down my stomach.’ “I didn't want to wear a bra while I was getting ready or just lounging around the house. “ That night, I was lying in my bed thinking about all the different ways I could solve this problem... and then it hit me. Norwegian teacher Svein Aasjord, 44, his wife, and three boys, live in a fjord called Kaldfjord, in northern Norway close to the city of Tromsø - 217 miles north of the Arctic Circle. As well as living in one of the stunning coastal inlets Norway is famous for, the Aasjord family also live in one which is a popular hunting channel for whales feeding on herring. Each winter millions and millions of herring feed along the Norwegian coast in rich cold-water currents. Heading north to meet them is one the largest gatherings of orca and humpback whales on earth ready to feast on the bounty. In open water the whales stand little chance against the fast-moving shoals of herring, but by herding the tiny fish into fjords the whales create hundreds of ‘bait balls’ trapping the fish at the surface before going in for the kill. Sometimes the Aasjord family’s local Kaldfjord can be literally full of herring and large numbers of orca and humpbacks hunting them. The action has been so close to the house that Svein has been able to take photographs from inside his own property. These stunning photographs are just some Svein has been able to take over the years, including some breath-taking shots of his friends SWIMMING with the hunting orcas. Svein said: “All the people that have seen that picture tell me ‘he’s going to die in the next moment’. “I shouted to my friend ‘look over here’, because I wanted him to be looking at me when one of the big males was behind him.
