  • May 20, 2017 - London, UK - London, UK. 20th May 2017. People protest outside The Guardian in London calling for an end to the lies and censorship of the UK press about the events in Venezuela. They say that the current unrest is a right-wing coup attempt to overthrow President Maduro and the working class Bolivarian revolution, backed by the US, which the privately-owned Venezuelan press misrepresents as 'pro-democracy' protests and fails to report their attacks on hospitals, schools and socialist cities which have led to many deaths. The protest was at The Guardian as that paper recently called for democratically-elected socialist president Nicolas Maduro to be given ‘pariah status’, constantly backed attempts to undermine former President Chavez and has failed to report the mass mobilisations by working-class supporters to protect the government and its reforms which have decreased poverty, provided free health care and education, devolved power into the hands of local collectives and built homes for the working class. The protest was opposed by a small group of Venezualans who called Maduro a murderer. Peter Marshall ImagesLive (Credit Image: © Peter Marshall/ImagesLive via ZUMA Wire)

  • These harrowing photographs show injuries Amber Heard claims she sustained at the hands of her then-husband Johnny Depp after telling him she was going to leave him. The photos — filed at a court in Virginia by Heard’s legal team — form part of a bombshell dossier as a rebuttal to Depp’s $50million defamation lawsuit against his former wife. Graphic images show Amber with facial abrasions, bruises, and clumps of hair missing following an incident which allegedly happened days before Christmas in Los Angeles in December 2015, just nine months after the pair married. In the deposition Amber, 32, claims Depp, 55, attacked her at their Los Angeles penthouse before friends were due to arrive She claims that at one point he dragged her by the hair, onto their marital bed, and beat her while screaming: 'I'll f*****g kill you, you hear me?'  Describing what happened next, Heard claims in the legal document: 'Hoping to avoid the violence, I tried to calm Johnny down, and then went upstairs to try to remove myself from the situation. 'Johnny followed me, hit me in the back of my head, grabbed me by my hair again, got in front of me on the steps, and then dragged me by my hair up the last few steps.  'At the top of stairs, Johnny shoved me twice, which made me fear I would fall. I told Johnny that he had broken my wrist in an attempt to get him to stop. 'Johnny kept hitting me, and each time he knocked me down, I chose to react by simply standing up and looking him in the eye. Johnny responded by yelling: "Oh, you think you’re a f***ing tough guy?" 'He reeled back and head-butted me in my face, bashing my nose, which immediately began bleeding, sending searing pain through my face. I instantly started tearing up, and I thought that I would have to go to the hospital.  'I told Johnny I wanted to leave him, and that I would call the police if he ever touched me again. When I began to walk away toward the guest apartment, he responded by pushing me, then grabbed me a

  • EXCLUSIVE: A mother gave birth to someone else’s babies after an IVF mix-up, a new lawsuit claims. The woman and her husband, from Queens, New York, are suing CHA Fertility Centre, in Los Angeles, after giving birth to children who didn't share their ethnicity. The clinic is run by Dr. Joshua Berger and co-owner Simon Hong. The Asian couple, who are referred to as Y.Z. and A.P. in court documents, married in 2012 and tried relentlessly--both naturally and with medical assistance--to get pregnant. After countless disappointment, the couple visited CHA Fertility Center with the hopes of becoming parents. In January 2018, Dr. Berger and Mr Hong met with the couple and walked them through months-long medicine, vitamin tests, and several procedures to yield eight embryos. In total, the couple says they spent $100,000 on the entire process. In September, the pair were excited after learning female embryos were successfully planted and they were pregnant with twins. Their joy, however, was short-lived when the ultrasound revealed they were instead having twin boys. Dr. Berger dismissed the sonogram and tried to calm their concerns by revealing when his wife was pregnant they were originally having a boy but gave birth to a girl. Y.Z. and A.P's nerves were calmed for a moment, and on March 30, 2019, A.P. delivered the children via C-section and was met with an unspeakable mix-up. The babies were indeed boys but did not share their Asian ethnicity. Even worse, the boys weren't related to one another. Y.Z and A.P. unknowingly were surrogate parents and had to give the children up to their respective parents who were also clients of CHA Fertility Center. The couple was so embarrassed and heartbroken they haven't told their family or close friends. For Y.Z and A.P, the experience has left them with "permanent emotional injuries from which they will not recover," the suit says. The amount they are suing for is also undisclosed. 07 Jul 2019 Pictured: CHA Fertility Center. Y.Z. and A.P's nerves were calmed for a moment, and on March 30, 2019, A.P. delivered the children via C-section and was met with an unspeakable mix-up. 07 Jul 2019 Pictured: Dr. Joshua Berger. • July 27, 2017 - Ankara, Turkey - July 27, 2017 - Ankara, Turkey - Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim (C), EU Minister of Turkey Omer Celik (R) and Turkish Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci (L) meet with German executives invested in Turkey in wake of German government’s realignment of Turkey-Germany relationship at Cankaya Palace in Ankara, Turkey on July 27, 2017. Speaking at a meeting with the executives at the Çankaya Prime Ministry Office in Ankara, Yıldırım said that Turkey highly values their companies, in response to German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel's statements urging firms to avoid doing business in Turkey. ''For us it is crucial to ensure that you do not sustain any damage or become a part of this tension'' Yıldırım said and added that they see German companies as part of Turkey. The prime minister assured companies that they do not pay the price for the problems between the two countries. Relations between Turkey and Germany, home to three million ethnic Turks, have been badly strained, particularly since the failed coup attempt a year ago against Turkey's democratically elected government by the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ). Turkey accuses Germany of harboring high-ranking FETÖ figures and soldiers linked to the coup attempt, in addition to activities of PKK and DHKP-C terrorist groups in Germany. • March 29, 2019 - Palestinians clash with the Israeli army in the northern West Bank, near the evicted Israeli settlement of Homesh. Palestinians were commemorating the upcoming anniversary of Land Day by planting trees near the settlement when the Israeli army supressed their activities and clashes began. Homesh is an Israeli settlement which was established in 1978 on 173 acres of confiscated land belonging to the nearby Palestinian villages of Burqa, north of Nablus, Silat ad-Dhahr, on the west of Jenin, and Bazaria on the east of Tulkarem. The residents of Homesh were forcefully evicted from their homes and their houses demolished as part of the Israeli disengagement from the Gaza Strip and from an area in northern Samaria in the West Bank in 2005.The IDF though maintained a requisition order to impede Palestinians from returning to the land for eight years, while the Homesh Yeshiva organization has endeavoured to retain some hold on the area by funding an illegal outpost which has been repeatedly built on the site over the years. The attempt of Palestinians of replanting the area and grazing sheep and goats on the hills around the settlement has usually been met by the violence of settlers and soldiers, thus preventing Palestinians to regain control of their land. • FILM TITLE: BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID. DIRECTOR: George Roy Hill. STUDIO: 20th Century Fox. PLOT: The romanticized buddy film is loosely based on real-life, legendary outlaws Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and their Hole in the Wall gang. The film's early 1900's anti-heroes are free-wheeling, non-chalant Butch (Paul Newman) and sharpshooting Sundance (Robert Redford) - their specialty is robbing trains, until they bungle their second attempt on the Union Pacific Express and are relentlessly pursued by a posse. With Sundance's beautiful, school-teacher lover Etta Place (Ross), they flee to Bolivia to seek further wealth. In the end, they are outnumbered and die in a blazing, hail of bullets, freeze-frame shootout. Winner of 4 Academy Awards including Best Cinematography and Music. PICTURED: ROBERT REDFORD.
