  • EXCLUSIVE: ***NO WEB UNTIL 5PM EST SEPT 19*** Friends and family attended the funeral of movie legend Burt Reynolds at the Family Church in West Palm Beach, Florida. Among those attending the service were the actor's former lover Sally Field, now 71, and his niece Nancy Lee Brown Hess, who was made executor of the actor's estate. Also at the service was a friend wearing a B.L Stryker jacket, an American detective drama in which Reynolds stared in the lead role. Mourners at the service, which started at 10 am local time, were greeted by an oil painting of Reynolds dressed in western wear on a horse, clutching a dog in his arms. The service opened with a prayer by Kevin Mahoney, followed by a recollection of Reynolds’ life by close friend Mo Mustaine. A eulogy was delivered by actor and producer Todd Vittum, who worked with Reynolds on one of his final performances in The Last Movie Star. The service ended with the song “Amazing Grace," followed by a scripture reading, A Message of Hope and a closing prayer. Reynolds died September 6 at the age of 82 from a cardiac arrest. Reynold's Hollywood career skyrocketed in the '70s after his break-out film role as Lewis Medlock in the 1972 film Deliverance. He went on to appear in nearly 200 films in his life-time including Smokey and the Bandit and Boogie Nights. 19 Sep 2018 Pictured: the Family Church, West Palm Beach. • EXCLUSIVE: A rescued pair of twin bear sisters forced to perform in a circus all their lives have experienced a freedom for the first time in 24 YEARS. Dasha and Katia were just weeks old when they were taken from their mother and sold to a circus in Ukraine. Since then all the sisters have known is training and performing up to three shows a day. When not doing tricks like riding bicycles and jumping through hoops for a paying audience, the 400lb plus animals were kept in tiny 1.5m cages. They were behind bars just inches from one another but could never touch. But now after a quarter of a century in captivity the two bears can sleep under the stars for the first time in the stunning forest-filled Libearty (correct spelling) Bear Sanctuary, in Zarnesti, Romania. Heart-warming footage and photos taken this week show the animals rolling around in the grass with joy and being able to nuzzle and bear hug one another for the first time. The bears arrival in Romania was only made possible thanks to Lionel De Lange, from the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization (LAEO) Ukraine, and Chantal Jonkergouw and Carolyn Green, from SOS Zoo and Bear Rescue. Lionel and Chantal and their supporters raised £14,000, including donations from the UK, to rescue the animals in March and then transport, medically check and care for the them before they were released on Wednesday. Lionel de Lange, from LAEO Ukraine, said the sisters, who were originally known as Masha and Lora, had proper contact with each other for the first time. He said: “This was one the most emotional rescues we’ve done, if you can imagine it’s 24 years of these bears never having proper contact with each other, they were always in separate cages. “And when they were close to each other in the cages they had aggression, not with each other but with bars between them. They always seemed angry at one another. “But then when they let them out at Libearty they had a snuggle and a cuddle and it was just amazing to

  • This bundle of joy is baby Saybie who has become the world's tiniest surviving newborn. The infant was born at a San Diego hospital three months early and weighing just 8.6 ounces in December last year. She has since been cared for by a dedicated team of medical experts at the Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborn. Amazingly, the hospital revealed the youngster to the world on Wednesday May 29 and she is now well enough to go home. Doctors feared Saybie's mother's life was at risk and were forced to perform an emergency cesarean section just 28 weeks into the pregnancy. Born weighing at only 8.6 ounces, Saybie whose parents weren't identified and whose name was changed by the hospital, was so small she could fit in the palm of a hand. Saybie is considered both the world's smallest baby and smallest surviving baby. The official records are maintained by Tiniest Baby Registry, managed by the University of Iowa. Sharp Mary Birch, which has the largest Level III NICU in San Diego County, is recognized among the best hospitals in the world in caring for micro preemies, a term given to very small premature infants. 30 May 2019 Pictured: Saybie-sign-w-stats.
