  • April 14, 2018 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - Supporters of George Soros' Central European University in Budapest were in attendance. The embattled university is in the direct line of Viktor Orban's alleged assaults on democracy. On April 14, 2018, Munich held its second March for Science event, with the event beginning at Koenigsplatz and ending at the famed Marienplatz. The March for Science originally began as a subreddit thread that was a response to the Trump Administration removing the Climate Change page from government sites. Eventually, a global, pro-science movement was grounded, with 230 cities worldwide participating this year. The Munich organization team is composed primarily of American expatriates and not only focuses on science and knowledge, but fact-based politics. Several hundred were in attendance. • Rap mogul Russell Smmons is being sued for $5million by an aspiring film maker who claims he raped her. Jennifer Jarosik alleges she first met the Def Jam founder in 2006 in NYC after they connected over a mutual “love and passion for meditation, yoga and a vegan diet.” Jarosik claims that Simmons agreed to be interviewed for a documentary she was working on and that he agreed to co-produce, finance and assist on the documentary, which was titled “Goddesses” and focused on empowering women. According to documents, obtained by The Blast, Russell Simmons has “historically thrived on the sexual exploitation of young women trying to break into the entertainment and music industry, in which young female artists are falsely promised opportunities and advancement by experienced and well-established men in power in the industry.” Jarosik says she later moved to Los Angeles, and in August 2016 was invited by Simmons to come to his Beverly Hills home. She says upon arriving, Simmons bluntly asked if they could have sex, to which she says she replied “no.” Jarosik says Simmons “got aggressive” and pushed her onto his bed. She claims while trying to keep Simmons away from her, he knocked her off his bed and she hit her head. While still in “shock and fear,” Jarosik claims Simmons “pounced on her” and “proceeded to rape her.” Her attorney, Perry Wander, says “Mr. Simmons practices meditation, yoga and is a long time vegan practicing non violence against animals. So basically he treats animals better than women. The hypocrisy has to stop now.” As if to add one more dig against Simmons … “#TimesUp” is written in bold at the end of several pages of the lawsuit. Simmons, who has denied all allegations of sexual assault and rape, has now been accused of sexual misconduct by 8 different women. 25 Jan 2018 Pictured: Russell Simmons complaint. • MIAMI, FL - AUGUST 07: Young sweethearts Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly broken up after the Disney star told Justin she didn't approve of his new hip-hop music friends. The Wizards Of Waverley Place star, who has been dating the Baby singer since the start of the year, has allegedly dumped the 17-year-old teen sensation because she is worried about the influence his new friends are having on him..In recent weeks, Justin has been spending more time publicly with Sean Kingston, rapper Lil Wayne, and singer Chris Brown who has a new song with the Canadian teenager. Chris Brown became a figure of notoriety after he attacked his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 which resulted with the Only Girl In The World singer having to go to hospital and Brown being charged with assault and making criminal threats. Lil Wayne meanwhile served eight months of a one year prison sentence in 2010 after pleading guilty to possession of a weapon. Justin has been friends with Jamaican singer Sean Kingston since they recorded the song Eenie Meenie together in April 2010 and last weekend when Justin and Sean were driving around South Beach in a Rolls Royce convertible, they were pulled over by a police officer who thought it was suspicious that two youngsters should be driving such an expensive car. Although the two boys didn't break any law and were allowed to continue driving, it is thought that Selena didn't like the attention that the incident drew to Justin. The final straw allegedly came when Justin took Sean to watch Selena perform that same weekend in Florida. A friend of Selena told the Sun newspaper: 'Selena told him to stop hanging with these bad people. She didn't want him to crash her gig. They had a huge row and said it was good they were having time apart while she was on tour.' However, Justin is said to have been devastated by her decision and was spotted in tears after one of their arguments. The friend added to the newspaper: 'It's hard seeing a little 17-yea

  • September 29, 2018 - Washington, DC, U.S. - FBI agents charged with investigating the sexual assault charges against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh are expected to want to examine and photograph the exterior and interior of this Rockville, MD, home. Kavanaugh has strongly and unequivocally denied allegations by Christine Blasey Ford that he attempted to rape her at a teens’ drinking party one summer when they were both in area private schools in the early 1980s. But an entry from the calendar kept by Kavanaugh as a 17-year-old teen says “Go to Timmy’s for skis with Judge, Tom, P.J., Bernie and Squi” on July 1, 1982. Both “Judge” and “P.J.” refer to friends of Kavanaugh’s who were included in Dr. Ford’s account of the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack. According to Kavanaugh’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, “Timmy” refers to classmate Tim Gaudette. According to Montgomery County land records, Gaudette’s mother owned this two-story house at the time in question. The home is 10.5 miles from Columbia Country Club, where Blasey said she swam before the attack. FBI agents would be able to use photos of the exterior and interior to compare with Dr. Ford’s account of the attack, an account which included descriptions of a narrow stairway and upstairs bathroom in the house where the attack occurred. • July 3, 2017 - Mugla, Turkey - July 3, 2017, Marmaris, Turkey - A Turkish commercial ship named 'ACT' approaches to dock on Aegean coast of western Turkey's Mugla province on July 03, 2017 as a Turkish Coastal Guard boat escorts after Greek coastal guard boats allegedly opened fire on it. The Greek coast guard fired bullets at a Turkey-flagged freighter in the Aegean Sea on July 3 after it refused to obey calls from the Greek authorities to stop at a Greek port, the captain of the ship has said. Haluk Sami Kalkavan , the captain of the ship, M/V ACT, told private broadcaster CNN Türk in a phone call that Greek coast guard boats fired shots on the ship around three miles off the island of Rhodes.Kalkavan said the Greek coast guard instructed him to approach the Rhodes port in international waters but he refused to obey the call and briefed the Turkish side of the situation. The coast guard then fired shots in the direction of the ship as it was heading to Turkish territorial waters, he added, noting that there were 16 bullet holes in the ship. He also said the freighter was now in Turkish waters bound for Marmaris and was not at risk of taking on water. The Turkish Armed Forces said in a statement that one assault boat and two coast guard boats immediately dispatched to scene after Greek coastguards fired at cargo ship. The Greek Coast Guard said it tried to stop the vessel following ''an anonymous telephone complaint'' that it was carrying narcotics. It said the ship was in Greek waters.
