  • May 1, 2019 - Depok, Indonesia - A man arranges dried kerupuk or crackers after they fry it at a kerupuk factory in Depok, Indonesia, 01 May 2019. Despite the government's decision to declare the International Labor Day that falls on every May 1 as a national holiday, many factories in Indonesia continue to operate in a bid to meet their production target. Workers who fail to show up for work might face serious threats, mainly layoffs. This worsens their already-poor welfare following the poor wage system that sees many workers are paid below minimum wage set by the government. • Lourdes Leon proudly shows off her hairy pits in a new collaborative campaign between Converse and New York youth brand MadeMe. The 21-year-old model, who is Madonna’s daughter, is less Queen Of Pop in the photos and instead channels the NYC riot grrrl movement, defined by the city’s “queer, fashion and rave cultures”. Lourdes models a series of shoes and apparel from the collection, including a sleeveless, midriff-baring vest top in which she holds her arm aloft to reveal her unshaven armpits. Striking her best moody poses, Lourdes proves the perfect fit for the women’s apparel and footwear collection, which plays to the “cool girl”. Creative director Erin Magee explained the target customer was an “independent” woman who will “take risks and not worry about what everyone else is wearing or doing. “It’s a girl who is attracted to authenticity and wants to explore street, rave, queer and 90s subculture.” The collection centers around a platform One Star – a sneaker that enjoyed a stint on the 90s rave scene due to its colorful spectrum, and one that Erin Magee herself had purchased on Etsy, just months prior to connecting with Converse on the collaboration. The collection launched on May 24 with prices ranging from £25 to £90 ($33 to $120) on converse.com and Dover Street Market London. 24 May 2018 Pictured: Lourdes Leon stars in a campaign for a new women’s apparel and footwear collection in a collaboration between Converse and New York youth brand MadeMe. • EXCLUSIVE: Is British tech CEO Scott Borgerson Ghislaine Maxwell’s secret husband? Prosecutors in New York revealed on Wednesday that the jailed heiress was secretly married but refusing to reveal her husband’s name. Though Maxwell— who is accused of helping the late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein target underage girls — didn’t say the name of her mystery spouse, reports suggest it could be Borgerson. Maxwell was linked to the divorced dad last year when it was reported she was living at his oceanfront mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Mass. Borgerson’s shipping technology firm, Cargometrics, was valued at more than $100 million in 2016, according to the London Financial Times. Borgerson is believed to have met Maxwell six years ago through speaking engagements connected to ocean preservation. Pics taken 19 Aug 2019. 16 Jul 2020 Pictured: Scott Borgerson.
