  • Manchester United star Juan Mata proved he’s a turf and surf kind of guy as he demonstrated his paddle boarding prowess in Los Angeles. The 30-year-old midfielder and fellow players Ander Herrera and Scott McTominay took time off the pitch during the team’s USA summer tour to attend an event in collaboration with Parley For The Oceans and Adidas to raise awareness about the threat of ocean plastic to the environment. The event — which took place in a boat docked in the harbor in Los Angele’s beachside community Marina Del Rey on July 27 — featured talks by the Founder of Parley for the Oceans, Cyrill Gutsch, Parley and Adidas staff members and Big Wave Surfer & Parley Ambassador Greg Long. Mata, Herrera and McTominay were joined in the audience by members of the adidas Tango Squad – the innovative global football community. The event also saw the United stars enjoy what the ocean has to offer as they took to the water to try their hands at paddle boarding, guided by Big Wave Surfer Greg Long. Mata said: “When Adidas first introduced the Manchester United jersey Parley Ocean Plastic® I was unaware of the scale of the issue. Fans worldwide should know that this jersey is one step in the right direction, but we still have loads to do.” Ander Herrera added: “By taking time to understand the problem, we hope that we can use our influence to help educate the world to the scale of the issue and although we can all do more and we must, this initiative is a step in the right direction.” And Scott McTominay said: “It’s great to be part of the Parley relationship and for our kit to use Parley Ocean Plastic®, however, I also believe that we all need to do more. I’ve been shocked into doing more personally and everyone should also look at steps they can take to help this situation.” Cyrill Gutsch, Founder of Parley for the Oceans said: "Winning Manchester United as Parley supporters is like adding eighteen thousands times the size of the British Roy

  • EXCLUSIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are eyeing-up this stunning Mediterranean-style villa in California’s wealthy Pacific Palisades neighborhood. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom 6,185sqft property is set over 1.2 acres of flat expansive lawns and boasts both unobstructed ocean and mountain views. Complete with all the luxurious trappings — including pool, children’s play area, gourmet chef’s kitchen and home theater — the property is the epitome of indoor-outdoor California living at its finest, and is on the market for $14,950,000. According to sources, the Sussexes are close to signing a deal on the house, which is currently owned by Fast and Furious producer Steven Chasman and his wife Nadia Fares, a French actress. If the purchase goes ahead, the Sussexes will be able to count the likes of Tom Hanks and Ben Affleck as their neighbors. They are also said to be planning to have Meghan’s mother Doria move in with them and baby Archie. A source revealed: ‘Once quarantine and lockdown are over, Harry and Meghan will be moving into their new pad - and they want Doria to be included in these plans. 'She is hugely independent though, and doesn't want to be in their space. She will have her own granny annex.’ The stunning photographs of the property also reveal beautiful interiors, including panoramic floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the master suite, providing beautiful ocean views. There is also a grand pergola and modern swimming pool, as well as an outdoor play area for little Archie. Meghan and Harry moved to Canada after stepping down as senior royals earlier this year, but flew to California in March just before the borders closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. They are currently believed to be renting a Los Angeles home near to Elton John and David Furnish, who they are said to be in regular contact with. The Pacific Palisades property they are eyeing up initially went on the market back in September and the listing is now held by Steve Sawai
