  • Meet Charley — a dancing robot ‘butler’ who delivers mini-bar item directly to your door at a new super luxury apartment tower in Los Angeles. Charley, who is based in the lobby at the opulent 40-storey Ten Thousand complex, can deliver anything from a bottle of water to champagne and chocolates to residents’ doors. A spokesman for Ten Thousand explained: “The resident makes a request and Charley enters the elevator and brings it to your door.  “Once the item is retrieved, Charley does a little dance and proceeds back down to the lobby.” Charley is one of a host of super high-end service on offer at Ten Thousand, which is located on the border of Beverly Hills and Century City and opened last year. The property, designed by Handel Architects, is being billed as the future of LA’s real estate market as the city looks to build more high-rise residences, much like the New York aesthetic. The residential tower features 75,000 sq ft of amenities and hospitality services overseen by a house staff of 80, from a leading-edge fitness and wellness center, indoor and outdoor pools, indoor and outdoor theaters, performance coaches, nutritionists and in-house car service, Residents can even book a room with an exam table to have facials and massages, or even call in their own medical technician — so if you need a few botox jabs or your fillers updating, you have the luxury of being able to do so on the site of your residence. Such luxury comes with a hefty price tag of course — two and three-bedroom apartments, complete with 10ft-high ceilings and panoramic views through floor-to-ceiling glass windows range anywhere from $9,000 to $25,000 per month while the jewel in the crown is the penthouse at $65,000 per month. 14 Jan 2018 Pictured: Ten Thousand is a new high-rise, luxury development in Los Angeles, California. Several exterior windows were damaged on the first-, second- and third-level banks of windows of the press room on the Midland Avenue side of the building. Three exterior windows were shattered, leaving broken glass on the sidewalk outside. Two windows on the upper level of the press room were damaged, but did not shatter. Those windows show small holes and cracks that appear consistent with small-caliber bullet damage. (Credit Image: © Peter Baniak/TNS via ZUMA Wire)

  • EXCLUSIVE: ARE YOU SWAY-ED BY THIS UNIQUE HOUSE FOR SALE - INCREDIBLE HOME INSIDE A 220-FOOT TOWER COULD BE YOURS FOR £10 By Magnus News Agency Buyers are being offered one last chance to own a unique 220-foot-high Victorian folly before it is offered as a prize in a competition for just £10 a ticket. Sway Tower, in Hampshire, sits resplendent above the village of the same name with commanding views of the English countryside and south coast. The 1880s intricately designed concrete monolith has been in the family of businessman and entrepreneur Paul Atlas and his family for the past 45 years. But now the property, which comes complete with a 60-foot swimming pool and telecommunications income of £35,000 plus a year, is on the market in a once-in-a-lifetime sale. Grandfather-of-four Paul has lived in the 14-floor tower since 1995 with Julie raising their two children. Since they bought it in 1973 for £2,600 the Atlas’s have been busy renovating the structure ensuring that what stands now will last for generations to come. In the mid-90s, with the backing of the local authority and heritage charities, Paul and a team of tradesmen renovated the structure after the storm of 1987 hit the south coast. Demonstrators are demanding further action against the Louisville, Kentucky Metro Police Department officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor following a Kentucky grand jury indictment of former Louisville police officer Brett Hankison who was charged today with three counts of "wanton endangerment". This protest was also in support of the Black Lives Matter movement during the worldwide coronavirus pandemic amid an atmosphere of protests, demonstrations, riots, vandalism and destruction of property in response to the death of George Floyd who died while being arrested by police officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 25th. Cyclists blocked automobile traffic at intersections to allow protesters to march on city streets. It appeared that a majority of the protesters wore face masks or protective face coverings.<br />

  • A McDonalds once branded the “ugliest building in Rotterdam” is enjoying a new lease of life as the poshest Maccies in the world. Looking more like a modern art gallery with glass floor-to-ceiling windows, this recently refurbished McDonalds in the Dutch city of Rotterdam is possibly the poshest in the world. Located on the iconic Coolsingel in the city’s “Cool District” - the fast-food eatery comes complete with grand central spiral staircase leading to the second floor and also boasts an outside terrace so customers can enjoy their Big Macs al fresco if they desire. The seats are upholstered in fine leather and the tables are made from marble while outside the perforated golden facade gives the location an extra special dazzling appeal and is a far cry from it’s former dated boxy appearance. The restaurant was completed at the end of 2015 after design firm Mei Architects were brought in to overhaul the dated building. And after a very fast construction the newly re-modeled building was completed in just two months. 09 Nov 2017 Pictured: This recently refurbished McDonalds in Rotterdam in The Netherlands is possibly the poshest in the world with floor-to-ceiling glass frontage and a perforated gold facade.
