  • Superman star Dean Cain is now serving his country — as a police officer. The 51-year-old former actor — who played Superman in the 90s television series Lois And Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman — is seen here in his official uniform as he was sworn in as a reserve officer with the Saint Anthony Police Department in Idaho. Ahead of the swearing in ceremony, which took place on Tuesday (19 June), Cain told The Daily Caller how proud he was to be joining the police service. He told the outlet: “I have always been a man of action. Real heroes don’t wear capes. Real Superheroes wear uniforms and badges and stethoscopes! Real superheroes are members of our military, law enforcement, and first responders.” Cain will be joining forces with his former CHiPs co-star Erik Estrada, who is also a reserve officer, as part of his official duties to combat online predators and bullying for a local “All About Kids” initiative. “Nothing could be more important than being here. This is a wonderful opportunity. It’s great to be here with the guys and to put on this uniform,” Cain told the Idaho State Journal. 21 Jun 2018 Pictured: Dean Cain, who played Superman in Lois And Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman, is sworn in as a reserve police officer for the Saint Anthony Police Department in Idaho on Tuesday 19 June, 2018.
