  • EXCLUSIVE: SHOCKING IMAGES OF CAPE TOWN’S BONE-DRY DAM WHERE ONCE LOCALS USED TO GO BOATING AND WATER SKIING WITH PIX By Magnus News Agency Shocking images show a bone-dry desert where once boats used to sail on a reservoir as drought continues to ravage South Africa. Theewaterskloof Dam once hosted yacht clubs and water skiing but today not even one vessel could be launched on the parched space. Photographer Dirk Theron visited the starved body of water last week and took these frightening images of the dried-up lake which should supply 40 percent of the water to Cape Town’s four million residents. As Dirk’s pictures show, skeletons of fish and muddy pools are much of what remains of the former 480 million cubic metre capacity site. Last week billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg toured Theewaterskloof as part of his role as UN special Envoy for Climate Action. He warned the reservoir and draught across the Western Cape should act as a wake-up call for the international community on climate change. Despite the drought, which has struck the area for the past few years, government officials in South Africa have been criticised for their handling of the crisis. A ‘Day Zero’ when municipal taps would be turned off has been pushed back from June 4 to July 9 despite chronic shortages continuing. South African Dirk lives just 30 minutes from Theewaterskloof, but said he was stunned by what he found there. He said: “Theewaterskloof dam is one of those places where everybody has a boat and people would go there for the weekend. “A friend of mine used to be a member of the Theewaters sports club, we used to go there all the time water skiing and playing on the water in his boat. “This was a massive, massive body of water. It’s been a few years since last I’ve been there but when I saw it I was shocked to my core. “We all know about the water crisis but standing there and seeing it with your own eyes is so surreal. “I stood on dry ground

  • EXCLUSIVE: Kylie Jenner goes back to being a blonde (like she was with X-Boyfriend Tyga) seen here are the first pictures of a very "BLONDE" Kylie Jenner and her new boyfriend Jacques Webster, Jr. better know as hip-hop singer Travis Scott. The lovebirds arrived by yacht and dined in a private back room of the exclusive restaurant the River Yacht Club where Kylie and Travis looked very happy and were spotted kissing and being very romantic while bodyguards kept out unwanted people. The new couple had a blast at the exclusive waterside restaurant where they were joined by Miami-based restaurant, nightlife and hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman and his wife Isabela Rangel. While Kylie drank Evian water all night her new man Rapper Travis Scott was in full party mode and did a total of 17 shots of Don Julio 1942™- World's First Luxury Tequila‎ with their friends. Perhaps the Tequila took its toll, as Travis looked a little under the weather on the boat ride home. The couple spent a total of $2000.00 with their friends and left a very generous additional $100.00 in addition to the 20% tip at The River Yacht Club Restaurant in Miami on May 7, 2017 in Miami, Florida. 07 May 2017 Pictured: Kylie Jenner, Travis-Scott. • August 18, 2017 - Shivnibas, Nadia, India - Indian women participates in Boat Race on Churni River on the occasion of Independence Day celebration in Shivnibas, Nadia district , 95 km from Kolkata , India on Friday , 18th August, 2017. While the entire nation celebrated Independence Day on August 15, one part of India observed the national event on 18th August . It might sound strange to many but the reason behind this delayed celebration is because of a cartographic error made by Sir Cyril Radcliffe 70 years ago. On August 12, 1947 news on radio stated that India had been granted freedom but unfortunately a part of Nadia district had been awarded to East Pakistan. Pre-independent Nadia had five subdivisions: Krishnagar Sadar, Meherpur, Kusthia, Chuadanga and Ranaghat and all these areas except Nabadwip were given to East Pakistan. Celebration followed the next day and the Pakistani flag, which was raised by Muslim league in the Krishnanagar (Dist. headquarters of Nadia) was brought down and replaced with the Indian tricolour on 18 August.
