  • July 13, 2017 - San Diego, CA, USA - Eleven-year-old Samantha Richardson adjusts her helmet before asending the aerial ladder on a truck 100 feet in the air at Junior Firefighter Camp in San Diego. San Diego Fire-Rescue Department held its first-ever Junior Firefighter Camp at the Fire-Rescue Training Facility off Kincaid Road near the west end of Lindbergh Field. Boys and girls ages 10–16 were invited to participate in this week-long camp and will learn how to use hoses and ladders, search and rescue firefighting skills and basic first aid.
