John F. Kennedy, the nation's 35th President, would have turned 100 years old on May 29, 2017. With the centennial anniversary of John F. Kennedy's birth, the former president's legacy is being celebrated across the nation. PICTURED: May 7, 1940 - Boston, MA, U.S. - JOHN F. KENNEDY of Irish descent, was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917. Graduating from Harvard in 1940, he entered the Navy. Back from the war, he became a Democratic Congressman from the Boston area, advancing in 1953 to the Senate. He married Jacqueline Bouvier on September 12, 1953.
