Prince William, casually dressed in jeans and a open-neck shirt, and wife Kate, wearing an elegant floral dress, left the house in Chelsea, where Pippa lives with fiance James Matthews, at about 11.30 on Thursday night. Also at the low-key dinner was Pippa’s brother James Middleton, and Matthews’ brother, former Made In Chelsea reality star, Spencer, who will be best man, and parents David Matthews and his wife Jane Parker.The dinner lasted for just over three hours. “They all seemed very happy and relaxed,” said an onlooker. “William was smiling and chatting to Kate as they walked to their car. It looked like that had a good evening." Pippa and James will marry in May in a ceremony at her family’s village church of St Mark's in Englefield, Berkshire, before moving onto a reception in her parents' back garden with just 150 guests.
