The Roman Catholic feast of Corpus Domini, commemorates Christ's last supper and the institution of the Eucharist. The mass was followed by the traditional torchlight procession, in which parish groups, sodalities and charitable and fraternal organisations of all kinds participate along with ordinary citizens, from the St. John Lateran Basilica to the St. Mary Major Basilica.
