Golden State Killer Suspect Arrested In Sacramento

April 25, 2018 - Citrus Heights, California, U.S. - Law enforcement authorities process evidence at the home of suspected ''East Area Rapist'' at his home in Citrus Heights. A suspect has been arrested in the case of the a serial killer who investigators believe raped 45 women and murdered 12 people in the Sacramento region 1970s and 1980s, known as the East Area Rapist or Golden State Killer. Sacramento County booked 73 year old Joseph James DeAngelo early Wednesday morning on two counts of murder, according to jail records. DeAngelo was wanted on a Ventura County arrest warrant and is being held without bail.
