April 25, 2017 - Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India - Kashmiri Muslim women pray as a head priest displays the holy relic believed to be the whisker from the beard of the Prophet Mohammed on the occasion of the Muslim festival Mehraj-u-Alam, which marks ascension day, the journey from earth to heavens of the Prophet Mohammed, at the Hazratbal Shrine on April 25, 2017 in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. Every year thousands of Muslim devotees from across Kashmir throng the Hazratbal shrine in central Srinagar for prayers to have a glimpse of the Moi-e-Muqaddas, Holy Relic of Prophet Mohammed, displayed for public viewing on ten occasions in a year , including Meraj-ul Alam , the night Muslims believe Prophet Mohammed ascended to the heaven.
