October 6, 2018 - Munich, Bavaria, Germany - CHRISTIAN MUELLER, Munich city councilman, FLORIAN RITTER of the Bavarian Landtag, Katja Weitzel, district representative, and Berlin mayor MICHAEL MUELLER stand next to a platform in Munich's Freiham district. In support of the Bavarian SPD, Berlin Mayor Michael Mueller visited the Freiham district of Munich to view the large construction project that will bring tens of thousands of jobs and living units to the edge of the city’s western boundary. Hosting Mueller were Florian Ritter of the Bavarian SPD in the Landtag, Christian Mueller, city councilman, and district councilor Katja Weitzel. The Bavarian state elections will take place on October 14th and have gained national attention due to the Bavarian CSU gaining a federal role through Horst Seehofer. A core platform of the SPD is that of affordable housing..Mueller is furthermore President of the Bundesrat, which gives him the additional role of deputy to the German President.
