Three suspected militants and one civilian have been killed while three Indian paramilitary men sustained injuries in a gun battle in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir. The encounter started after government forces cordoned off a Chattabal area following the presence of militants in the area, officials said. More than 2 houses were damaged in the gun battle where the militants were believed to be trapped. The separatists have called for a shutdown on Sunday against the killings.
