October 4, 2017 - inconnu - Here’s a work station designed to make night shift office workers more comfortable.It is also meant to be useful for people who work from home.Called the New Normal, the set consists of accessories designed to make work more comfortable and playfulIt is made up of a removable backrest which has multiple functionality as a wrap-around hooded blanket.A moveable pillow plays soothing pre-recorded sounds and a rocking foot ramp.Chicago-based product designer Si Chen said she was inspired to create New Normal because with work life becoming more digitally accessible. She added:” Having the ability to set up and work anywhere is becoming more and more popular with the increase of co-working spaces. “She said the problem was that he majority of these spaces were often confined and isolated and can feel “stressful” .She wanted to provide “soothing and energizing elements to make any work space more comfortable”.The New Normal foot ramp can give people both a foot rest and foot exercise. The foot rest is made form memory foam for added comfort mounted on a wooden rocker.The rocking motion can help soothe stressThe pillow is designed to be used as both an arm rest and for power-napping.
