It was built in the early nineteenth century On November 1, the day of the feast of All Saints, the Poles deposit millions of candles on the graves throughout the country. A tradition which marks the importance accorded in Poland to the memory and resurrection of the dead. Faithful to tradition, believers or non-believers, all come to the Rakowicki cemetery to place lanterns on the graves.
