Add to Lightbox Download

April 28, 2017 - Sao Paulo, Brazil - Brazilian guarani indigenous from the 5 Jaraguá villages, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, protest during the national general strike day, this Friday 28/04/2017. Besides criticizing the social security and labor laws reforms promoted by the acting president Michel Temer's government, the indigenous demand the demarcation of their lands, a process that was near approval in 2015, but was never concluded. The almost 600 natives live confined in 1,7 hectares, while the Jaragua Indigenous Land would encompass 657 hectares. Painting the bodies is part of an ancient war ritual (Credit Image: © Gustavo Basso/NurPhoto via ZUMA Press)
