Kasukabe Giant Kite Festival 2019
Add to Lightbox DownloadMay 5, 2019 - Saitama, Japan - A big kite soars during the Giant Kite Festival in Kasukabe. Participants flew giant kites (weighs 800 kilograms, 11 meters wide and 15 meters high) to pray for a bumper harvest of silkworm raising. The annual festival has been held from 1841 and this year is held on May 3 and 5. Kasukabe city also has a kite museum housing 450 various Japanese and foreign kites.
