Bernard Ngoepe, independent chairperson of the CSA Anti-corruption unit and former judge president of the North and South Gauteng High Courts during the press conference held by Cricket South Africa to announce the outcome of an Anti Corruption investigation. It was announced that Jean Symes, formerly of the Lions was banned for 7 years, Pumelela Matshikwe, formerly of the Lions was banned for 10 years, Ethy Mbhalati, formerly of the Titans was banned for 10 years and Thami Tsolekile, a former Proteas's wicket keeper, contracted to and captain of the Lions was banned for 12 years. The press conference was held at PPC Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa on the 8th August 2016
