  • South Africa - Johannesburg - 17 August 2020 - Residents of Patsing informal settlement near Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, who occupied land illegally in recent years, protested after learning of allegations that they will be forcefully remove soon, residents vowed no one will touch their homes after three failed attempts from the Johannesburg Metro Police Department(JMPD) in recent times. Residents protested as Mayor Geoff Makhubo and Gauteng’s Cooperative Governance MEC Lebogang Maile were launching the province’s anti-land invasion strategy.<br />
