  • August 7, 2017 - CA, inconnu - A new computer keyboard inspired by old typewriters is set to give modern technology a retro feel..The US-designed Azio Industry Luxury Vintage Keyboard features vintage typewriter mechanical keyboard, combined with metal alloy, genuine leather top plate and backlit keycaps. It looks and feels like an old typewriter but has USB and Bluetooth wireless connection. The top plate is made from leather, framed with a zinc aluminium alloy. It is corrosion free, but through time and use, it would have weathering marks, which the makers say will add even character over a period of time.Just like those classic typewriters, the key switches are clicky. The LED lighting ensure the keyboard looks pretty cool for at night. There are three colour options where each one is also available in wired USB or wireless Bluetooth. The finishes are Onyx, Posh, and Artisan.Retail pricing starts at $190 USD / €160 Euros / £145 GBP for the wired version and $220 USD / €186 Euros / £168 GBP for the Bluetooth. There are Windows and Mac layouts as well as fonts for English, Portuguese, German and Nordic languages. The keyboards were launched with a massively successful fund-raising campaign on Indiegogo.Azio wanted to raise just $10,000 USD but ended up at 12 times that with around $120,000 USD A spokesman for the California-based company said:” We wanted to incorporate natural materials that not only translates into higher quality build but also bring back the nostalgia of vintage goods that are personable to the physical touch and senses.“The design team decided to use genuine leather for the top plate, because leather has always been associated with luxury customized goods and exclusiveness. “It represents good craftsmanship and a unique charm, while the keyboard frame is forged with zinc aluminium alloy, polished and plated in a black chrome or satin copper. • August 7, 2017 - inconnu - Here’s a towel which the inventor describes as a girl’s breast friend. The Ta Ta Towel is said to finally solve the problem of under boob sweat after a shower or bath.It looks like a scarf with a clip at either end,These cups are designed to lift and hold the breast up while keeping them dry at the same time. The design is also said to be great for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.Creator Erin Robertson said the ultra-soft rayon liner is made for sensitive nipples and can absorb any breast milk that might leak out. Erin , from the USA, said the idea came to her when she was living in Los Angeles and getting ready to go out on a first date. She explained:” As I got out of the shower and started getting ready, I could not stop sweating -- not because I was about to go on a first date, but because my tiny A/C unit was broken AND it was the beginning of summer.“I had a lot working against me. I tried everything: I tucked wash cloths under my breasts, I tried dumping baby powder all over me, I even put a t-shirt on and tucked it under my boobs. “But the wash cloths looked ridiculous, the baby powder made me look more like dough, and the t-shirt was making me sweat even more. “While I was blow-drying my hair, I just kept thinking , ’ There HAS to be a better way to keep the beads of sweat from dripping down my stomach.’ “I didn't want to wear a bra while I was getting ready or just lounging around the house. “ That night, I was lying in my bed thinking about all the different ways I could solve this problem... and then it hit me. I sat up with excitement!! “ Erin made a pattern by taping four pieces of printer paper together then borrowed a sewing machine and learned how to sew by watching YouTube videos. She eventually came up with some prototype Ta Ta Towels and started handing them out to friends to get feedback. Erin added:” To my wonderful surprise, what I thought wa

  • August 7, 2017 - inconnu - Here’s a new way to enjoy face-time.It’s a set of clocks featuring moving human faces. The left and right eyes act as hands, looking in the direction the hand would face. The mouth opens and closes as the seconds counter, also making the sound of a clock’s ticks. The clock is literally a screen that displays a human face. Japananese creative studio We+ made the quirky clock by video-recording real human faces in three separate films – each eye and mouthThe team then merged them seamlessly together in a 24 hour looped video. Tokyo-based We+ is made up of designers Hokuto Ando and Toshiya Hayashi. They develop their experimental approach to products, installations and graphics, by combining unconventional materials and technology to shift perspectives. The said:” Patience clock which uses a human face to represent the passage of time. “The eyes work in the same way as an analogue clock’s hands, with the right eye indicating hours and the left eye indicating minutes. “The mouth opens and closes to represent seconds # HORLOGES AVEC DES VISAGES HUMAINS (Credit Image: © Visual via ZUMA Press)
