  • London Eye visitors get a birds-eye view of glazier Tony McCarty (C) on clock face, as he completes the finishing touches to replacing damaged  glass to the outside of Big Ben, London, as its massive clean up operation drew to a close.  * A glazier took a final leap from the top of the famous landmark to repair the glass on the clockface. Clinging to a single rope, Tony McCarthy attempted his first ever abseil to mend tiny cracks that had formed in the glass of the London landmark. Visitors to the nearby London Eye got a bird's eye view of the worker as he gingerly made his way around the enormous timepiece.
