United Nations ceremony to name the character WONDER WOMAN as the Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Woman and Girls. The ceremony will be held on the 75th anniversary of the comic book character. Created by William Moulton Marston she first came to the public's attention in October 1941. Celebrities expected: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson, and special guests, Lynda Carter and Gal Godot, who have both played Wonder Woman on TV and in the upcoming feature film.
